To celebrate I will be posting pictures throughout the day showing off what and how much I eat 🤭.i don’t normally post irl pics here but I think this is a special occasion.
The event is being put on by what’s left of a local Japantown. Since the 1960’s the community has been threatened and shrunk by gentrification. Not much attention has been given to them, given the small street that is left is hidden by fancy apartments and convention buildings. They are still trucking on, but estimate they only will last a year or two more. So I plan to celebrate and support them for as long as I can.

Imagine, if you will…
Two guards stand outside your nest. The darkness in the little tunnel you sleep in conceals you. You cannot be seen by any outsiders. You have complete privacy. Your deep, slow purrs gently echo throughout the area directly outside your nest. You breathe in, fully and completely. Your already full belly seems to fill even further as your diaphragm expands. Your blood-filled stomach pushes against the walls of your torso. And you exhale… satisfied.
Each push of your diaphragm pulls your further into relaxation, deeper into sleep. Your stomach gurgles. A particularly uncomfortable inhale nearly prompts you awaken. Your hand lazily caresses your stomach, a clawed finger carefully massaging your naval. You stretch before settling back down, perhaps changing position.
You inhale again, deep purring turns to soft snores. They begin to echo throughout the chamber outside of your nest. The two of your kind who watch over you begin to waver. Your serenity washes over them. Their eyes grow heavy. They struggle against the pull to slumber. Perhaps it is time for a shift change.
