25 things I know at 25
1. Happiness is like a bird that lands on your ship when you sail in sunny and calm waters. You can’t catch it, nor can you chase it, but you can provide the conditions that favor it.
2. Everyone has his own very different goals in life. Take that into account when dealing with people.
3. If you dont prioritize your early school career, its going to ruin your everyday by stressing you out.
4. "Treat yourself” sometimes means getting bothersome and painfully boring stuff done, so you can actually relax without feeling bad about procrastinating.
5. If you havent freshly made your bed in a while and your room is untidy, chances are that you arent going to sleep too well or that you are going to wake up tired.
6. If it sounds too good to be true, quite often it simply isn’t.
7. Don’t underestimate how much money and greed can influence someones actions and thoughts. Especially if its about a continuous source of income.
8. Never expect common sense to be actually common sense.
9. While “Treat others how you want to be treated” isn’t that bad of an advice, you should always take into consideration that others don’t want to be treated the way you want to be treated.
10. You can and will be wrong, quite often even.
11. A silent apology is not actually an apology.
12. A persons age really doesnt tell you anything about how wise, understanding or trustworthy he is.
13. Role models play a bigger part in someones life as you’d think, but in a more passive and unconscious way.
14. Sometimes you see things the way you want them to be and not the way they actually are. Always take that into account.
15. Expecting an outcome can cause yourself to behave in a way that provokes that scenario.
16. People are trashtalking about you, no matter how friendly and humble you are.(Not saying that I am)
17. Psychological disorders are easily underestimated but can cause people to do things even themselves wouldn’t have thought of.
18. Your psychological health can easily be thrown out of balance by small things like something you ate, a word a stranger said or else. Meditation might help to regain that balance, but often only for a brief moment.
19. You only know a fraction of a percent of all people on this earth. Be in aware of that when under the impression that you know a lot of people.
20. Appearances may and will deceive, but dont expect the person infront of you to know and realize that.
21. Overthinking a problem rarely fixes it, but often causes you to get other problems.
22. Life is about keeping a balance between what makes you happy today and what makes you happy tomorrow. Expect too much from one of both and the other one will suffer.
23. Fatigue and hunger are controlled by your hormones and control your hormones. Mess one up and the other one will follow.
24. Wanting something too much is a thing and may be the reason why you are not getting it.
25. While many say that tomorrow might be your last day, many don’t really internalize that. After all, you have been alive for all your life.
