Meeting you was like a snowflake falling so softly to the earth. Although snowflakes disolve if they land on a surface that is not dense or is a temperature that will melt it within a flash. You are like a snowflake landing on a mountain thickly laiden with snow. And there we are lying side by side. Kept in calm and quiet. Deep in a land so peaceful, untouched by humankind. Only visisted by gentle soul. Deer and snowbird. Blending in with our surroundings. But little do they know we're of a different kind. Little do they know we're to become crystals, frozen in time. We're to take shape and grow with every drop. Icicles. Diamonds. Little do they know what was always meant to happen is taking shape before their eyes. And as our eyes meet we know it to be true. For every inch of snow surrounding us is of a winter's past. And we are both the present and future. The others have dissolved. Although they've taught us the lessons so we can continue on. We won't allow the rising sun to melt us away. We won't allow the frozen moon to leave our hearts cold. We will only embrace the unique design that forms us. And our ends will create a pattern that bonds us. Little do they know that we're not like the rest of them. So I guess we're not like snowflakes after all. For we will not dissolve. We will remain through the shifting seasons. Maybe we're leaves in the wind. Shells in the sand. Whatever we may be, we have fallen together, not to be washed away and not to be pulled apart.
