Maybe thoughts need to be recorded

Although every time I’ve started a diary when a kid or teen I’ve 1. gave up after a few posts and 2. scared myself silly when reading them a few years after. Ended up destroying all of them.

Am I really this scared of looking back? That book, ‘Revenge of the Sith’, has a beautiful thought in one of the section intros: ‘the dark protects us from what we dare not know’.

Maya . What is really real? Is it all an illusion? No two peoples exactly the same experiences are the same. They are different because of perception. Because each persons version of reality is different. The colour green you see is probably completely different to the colour green I see even though we may describe it the same and agree on the description being accurate. It’s still different. Even our discussion on the colour and amicable agreement will be perceived differently. Because of our individual perception of the truth. Our truth. It’s all an illusion. Just because I don't believe in intelligent design doesn't mean I don't acknowledge how beautiful and amazing organic life is. It means I don't believe some old man snapped his fingers and created digestion, regeneration, breath and sight. It means I'm thankful for billions of years of work and sacrifice put into (so to speak) making those things work. The same applies to defects and abnormalities. Realizing life isn't supposed to be perfect helps me cope with imperfections. It's like saying "Damn, this chronic hiatal hernia really fucks me up but I know you did your best mamma nature love you" and not "FUCK! WHY DID U DO THIS TO ME YOU OLD SHITBAG WEREN'T YOU SUPPOSED TO BE PERFECT AND SHIT? FUCK FUCK IT BUUUURNS"
