Everyone... I cannot even begin to tell you how much this enrages me. This man, this vile, incompetent man, believes people pay twelve dollars A YEAR for insurance. It’s no wonder he thinks no one deserves to get life-saving surgery or medication, because he fully believes we’re getting it for -free-.
Seriously... the AVERAGE cost for an AVERAGE family, whatever the hell that means, pays over 18k a year for insurances. If we’re assuming the average family is an affluent family of two working (and healthy) parents and two healthy children, that’s $4500 per person. Per month, that’s $375. I was fortunate that my parents had government jobs when I was growing up, and I was under their healthcare package. I was fortunate that my first job had a decent healthcare package. There are MILLIONS of people who do not have that luxury, and I’m PISSED.
We’re not taking into account about co-pays, which can be anywhere between non-existent or in the hundreds. We’re not talking about the monthly costs for medication. Hell, we’re not talking about the families who are struggling to even MAKE 18k because minimum wage is just a step above the poverty line.
And yet this man played golf on American tax dollars, went through the hassle of keeping his wife and son in their home with a security detail costing hundreds of thousands, and taken on the most unfit and equally vile people to be in his administration, and has been directly linked with a foreign government.
But nooooooo... healthcare isn’t a human right any more than water is in Flint. I’m so furious, because the whole point of being a national community is caring and growing together. National healthcare isn’t communism, it’s what makes a nation healthy and thriving.
