Betty couldn’t remember how she got home, too much was going on on her mind and her legs automatically carried her home. The tears still didn’t dry as she opened the front door and saw just what she expected to see. Her mother, standing there and waiting for her with an expression on her face that made clear, she was not pleased at all.
“Mom, I know what you are going to say, but I don’t think I have to remind you, that you were once part of this too. And you sure looked comfortable being back there tonight.”
