Crimson Playground: Closed RP with feigningmadness
The clock struck 10, and the day was done, like all those that came before it. Mori went about his usual nighttime routine. He lit a candle on the bedside table and sat in silence until it when out. Sometimes he would sit in meditation, and sometimes he would be watching the shadows grow larger until darkness swallowed the room. Once light was gone he would rest. He closed his eyes, and let himself sink into bed, slowly drifting to sleep as the smoke from the candle dispersed into the air. Night had officially began, but this one was different.
Mori woke with a start. There was moonlight streaming in through his window, and it fell perfectly on his clock as it struck 3am. he watched it chime, and when the sound faded he heard a loud creak to the wall opposing it. His window was open. He went to close it, when he realized that the view was not his yard. Instead, he saw that it was a park, one that seemed familiar though he could not remember where. Under the moonlight stood a hooded figure. The figure called to him, as though he were being whispered in his ear "What a perfect night, would be a shame to spend it alone. Care to join me?"
The clock struck midnight, Mori awoke in his bed, his body covered in a cold sweat. He looked first to the clock, then to the window. Everything was normal, just as he had left it. He quickly checked his watch to confirm the time, and the view from his window was what it has always been. Turning back to face his bed, something odd caught his eye. His own shadow appearing on his bed. He turned around to find his door wide open, something he usually closed before bed. He looked out into the darkened hallway and put his had on the door. Time felt as though it stood still, the options hanging in front of him. He could close the door, return to sleep and wake up later like nothing ever happened, or venture out into the night to see if his dream was something more. Mori turned back to his room and began to pull the door behind him, until he heard it. The faintest whisper calling to him "Mori". Whatever it was that he thought he heard, be it the wind, his imagination, or an auditory hallucination, curiosity had won over rationality and he decided to track down the place from his dreams. He got dressed, and left his home.
Takashi wandered from some time, enjoying the peaceful night air a bit before arriving at the park. The air was clear, the moon was full, and in the middle of the field stood a lone figure bathed in moonlight. His watched beeped to mark the 3rd hour.
"What happens now" he wondered.
