“Or do you despise the riches of His kindness, restraint, and patience, not recognizing that God’s kindness is intended to lead you to repentance?”
Romans 2:4
Not acceptance, but repentance. I’m so thankful for His merciful and grace filled heart. I’m so thankful that I didn’t have to change or cleanup to surrender my heart to God. But through surrendering your heart, you let God’s love change you to who you were meant to be as you seek Him.
It’s not a one way or give and take kind of relationship. We’ve all been in those kinds of relationships with other people and know what that feels like, horrible, unloved, manipulated, etc. It’s a see that My way is better and My peace, love, joy, comfort, and blessings are yours.
