Finished dress for Felicity!
This took so long to finish because I kept messing it up, but it's finally done, and I'm so happy!

Finished dress for Felicity!
This took so long to finish because I kept messing it up, but it's finally done, and I'm so happy!
I recently found this old search and find that I made when I was about 8 or 9. It's one of the only photos that exists of my dolls that was taken during my childhood. I wish I had taken more photos of them when I was younger, but that's the thing about the millennial childhood; you live in the moment.
Now as an adult I take so many photos of so many things because of the fear of undocumented good times, but maybe that's a curse. Who knows?
Molly and Felicity were there through so much of my youth, and I thank them every day for being my friends through some of the emotional hurdles of being a bipolar and AuDHD child.
In this photo they are on top of a "house" of sorts that my mom built. It was simply a wooden table type structure that had a dining area on top and a bedroom below. I used to sleep under it at night and have "slumber parties" until mom told me up stop because I kept waking up with what we assumed were spider bites, since we did get house spiders pretty often.
My childhood was so rich with whimsy, and I wouldn't trade it for the world.
Slowly but surely making progress on my custom Ben doll. I got his shirt done on Friday.
I'm moving onto breeches next. Gonna get the big pieces done before moving onto making his cravat and choosing hair ribbon etc.
After a trip to the library.
Blue colonial gown for Felicity is coming along. This has been a labor, but I don't think I could say "of love".
We're not gonna talk about how the top fichu band is crooked. I wanted to tear my hair out, so I left it.
Felicity will always be my favorite girlie from the OG Pleasant Company American Girl Collection.
The last vital piece of my Childhood Molly's replacement meet outfit is here! The shoes!
She came home to me without any clothes, and I had to buy the outfit in bits and pieces from various ebay sellers. I did manage to get the purse and beret from the accessories pack, which i didn't have as a kid, so that's a nice bonus.
Here are my two childhood girls in their respective meet outfits. ♡
I re-wigged my childhood Felicity because she was in bad shape. Very happy with how this turned out. The pincurls need a little freshening up, but even so, she looks miles better
