Felicity stared down at her phone, teeth biting into her bottom lip. It was late, nearly time for her to head home from the office for the day and releave the sitter, but she couldn't seem to make herself get up from her chair. The blonde sighed as she read through Moira's text one more time and shook her head. It had been nearly two weeks since the news broke that Oliver Queen was alive. Two weeks since he'd come back to Starling City and home to his family. Two weeks since she'd been able to sleep through the night without her mind drifting back to that night all those years ago.
Felicity had just move to Starling after graduating and leaving the hacker side of her behind. Blonde hair, preppy clothes and a whole new her. She'd been out at a bar and that was where she met him. She'd had no idea who he was...but they'd hit it off, bantered back and forth for hours, laughed, flirted and at the end of the night she took him home with her. Something Felicity never did. It had been an amazing night. She'd woken up the next morning to a note, letting her know he was heading out of town for a bit, but leaving his first name and number behind.
She hadn't known he was Oliver Queen. She hadn't known he had a girlfriend...or that he was basically Starling City royalty. Not until news hit about the boat. His face had been plastered all over the news - and then a few weeks later...she'd been late. Finding out she was pregnant was hard, it threw a kink in her plans. And reaching out to Moira Queen certainly wasn't a picnic. The older woman hadn't believed her of course, even after Felicity showed her the note. The blonde hadn't wanted anything...simply for the other woman to know. Moira had kept her at arms length, but the moment her son was born and the DNA test was done...things had changed. Somewhat at least. Moira got her a job at Queen Consolidated and Felicity had worked her way up on her own merits so that she was now running the IT Department.
And Moira was able to have a piece of her son in her life in Connor. That little boy loved his grandma - which is what made things so dificult now. How was she supposed to tell Oliver about his son? Moira didn't want her to. Not now...but that meant keeping the 5-year-old away from the Queen manner and how would she explain that to Connor?
Another sigh left Felicit's lips and she ran a hand over the top of her hair smoothing it out before finally standing and starting to gather her things together. She heard a noise outside her door in the hallway and called out without looking up. "I'm packing up for the night so whatever it is, it's going to have to wait until tomorrow."
