2010 vs 2020,
Remembered this old photo existed, and it was the first time I was able to pet a cat without completely freaking out. My grandmother walked in and said we had to take a photo, since this was probably the only time she'd ever get a photo of this.
I cant remember the cats proper name, but he was usually called baby kitty, out of the dozen cats my grandmother had over the years, him and mama kitty were the only two I were able to be okay being in the same room as.
Cats are cute and can be amazing companions, but also if you know anyone who has a phobia relating to animals, please dont rush them on their progress. I had multiple people try to force me into situations where I had to "realize animals arent all that bad", which never helped me, and usually caused me extra stress and guilt over everything. I've been fortunate that in those scenarios neither I nor those animals were hurt, but it shouldnt have happened in the first place.
