One Too Many

Davina had been rather disappointed when she realized a certain someone had left. While nothing other than some flirting had ever happened, Davina was one to fall in crush very fast with the right person, and after weeks of devoting much daydreaming to them, their disappearance left her with the need to keep the sad thoughts off her mind. So, the demigoddess had taken to the club, dressed up and dolled up in hopes that maybe someone would take it off her mind.

Alcohol seemed to be the only thing to entertain her. While she had been good lately with her alcohol consumption, the demigoddess allowed herself to wallow in self-pity, aided with the several glasses of sweet and fruity that the bartender had made her. However, once she went felt the effects of her drinks, she knew that she was not in the place to go home safely.

Pulling out her phone, Felix was the first person she thought of, and she struggled to send him a message. Barely hitting send, she could only hope that it would make sense to him. "Drnk. Dr. Flgood. Come?"

Blossoming Friendship

Yingyue was still fresh to the island and her new job. However, the skills necessary to be good at her job had been learned a long time ago, and she had used them along her travels through the many countries. So, she had started slow on her first week, mirroring the actions of her colleagues until she finally got confident in what she was doing. So, by the end of her first week, she was determined, secure already in how to perform her role.

Donning a new black dress she had bought for her work, Yingyue had steered away from her normal updo, choosing instead to loosely curl her long locks. Paired with a fresh setting of light makeup and her favorite strawberry smelling perfume, Yingyue knew she had created a lethal combo, and satisfied, she took one final look in the mirror before going onto the floor.

Stepping onto the floor, a colleague pointed her into the direction of a table seated by a lone male. Appearing around her age, he seemed like an easy target, someone that she wouldn't have to force her interest. With a brief head nod, she made her way to his table. "Welcome to Sakura." Yingyue smiled, offering her hand out for him to take. "May I please join you?"

New Year, New Friends!

Surely, being as popular as she was at Sakura, Yue was sure to have a ton of admirers showering her with gifts and Felix was no different!  Of course, he had hers sent to the Yao Guai apartments where where his favorite fairy maid would be greeted immediately by a colorful bouquet of CANDY!  Of course, upon closer inspection amid all the vibrant boxes and wrappers, she would find a silly 3D red red envelope addressed to her from “Felix, the sweet-toothed menace” and containing 2 million won as well as a gift certificate to Halo Salon for a full spa day including a relaxing 90-minute massage and facial, hair cut and style, manicure, pedicure, soak in the hot springs and all the champagne refreshments included.

While it had been unsurprising that the demigoddess received such lovely gifts from her profession, even if still something new to her, she had not expected to come home to the bouquet of candy from Felix of all people. However, his gift impressed her, from the very notable sour treats to the self-care gift cards. While she already had liked him from their first meeting, his gift did well to stoke her ego. So, she sent the demigod a picture of the ring pop on her ring finger with a playful message “I’d say yes, but that is too easy. Instead, I’ll say thank you!”

Lunar New Year VIP

There was no doubt that Davina Kim held a very special place in Felix’s heart and reconnecting with her in Mount Phoenix had been a definite highlight!  But what do you get a literal princess?  Only the best!  She may not have a need for money, but that didn’t mean that Felix couldn’t give her a couple of unique gifts of his own!  And he did this in person, too!  Knowing she was gonna be SUPER BUSY throughout all of Friday and definitely on Saturday, Felix opted to give Davina her gift on Thursday night.  He’d done another live stream that evening of the lion dance and scavenger hunt, but once the broadcast had ended, he conveniently arrived at the Spilled Tea stall as it was closing down for the evening, a decorative red and gold gift bag with golden tissue paper spilling out the top.  “XINNIAN KAWAII-LUH!” he called out as he approached, using an obvious play on words to wish her a happy new year.  “Something something new years blessings something something auspicious tidings something something,” he laughed as he placed the large gift bag on the counter.

Inside, she would find a framed photo of Miss Piggy–THE Miss Piggy; but not just any framed photo, but one of only 100 in the world from the Jim Henson Company with the autograph of the fantastically-talented Frank Oz, the original voice and puppeteer of the iconic Muppet herself.  Also included in the bag was a bottle of TEAra Hojicha tea liqueur from Japan, flavored with roasted green tea leaves.  Oh so tasty.

As her staff handled the orders, Davina had been using the last hour of their opening to prep for tomorrow, taking time within the inner portion of her stall to collect different plant leaves for their various concoctions. As she did so, she had gotten a notification that Felix had went live with his stream, and Davina had clicked on it to give him one more viewer as she did her work. His excitement over the performances help set the tone of her work, making the rather boring yet necessary task a little less dragging. 

Once she was done, she noticed his stream ending and the direction he was headed, which seemed a lot like toward her stall. Davina had doubted her was though, knowing how busy he was between his scavenger hunts and his other work. However, not long after she exited her stall, Davina noticed that familiar figure in the distance, and even more, she heard that loud, jovial voice. With a wide smile, she moved to the male’s side after he placed down the package. Quickly, she wrapped her arms around his side in a tight hug before she let go of him. 

Shaking her head, she stopped a snicker at his commentary. “You shouldn’t have!” She exclaimed, looking over at the bag. And, when she would open it, she would fall into a wave of giggles. She absolutely loved it. Such a creative gift, and she was sure it was hard to get his hands on. Well, he was lucky after all, so maybe not too hard. But, it was fitting based on her gamertag, and she already planned to hang it up near her gaming set up. The liqueur was an added plus. Davina knew that bottle would quickly be put to use.

Turning to him, she offered a wide grin. “Thank you, Felix. You are the best, you know!”

"Free" Meal

Eloise had truly accidentally order a massive amount of food. Often, her accentuated claws got in the way of her typing, and it seemed that combined with her lack of attention had caused such an unnecessary problem. However, her social media post had prompted a solution rather quickly. While she knew it was not the safest measure, she was not too concerned either. She had enough of an advantage from her feline powers to get her to safety if this Felix guy turned out to be a real weirdo.

Even further, she reasoned he might could be of some use. Paintings leaned against her wall still needing to be hung, and she was far too lazy to attempt it herself. Lost in thought, the knock at her door finally pulled her attention. She popped up, and stepping over Marie who sprawled leisurely on her back, she hurried over to the door. While she had a glimpse of the male from his profile picture, she was curious to see who truly was on the other side of the door.

Opening it, the demigoddess peer up at the male. She had took no efforts to hide her "unnatural" feline appearance, from the fluffy ears on top of her head to the tail that gently swayed behind her. She was on a magical island after all. "Are you Felix?" She ask, pulling it further open so that he could step in. He did look like the man on the profile picture. "You were fast."

New Business

Angela had overheard about a new business opening up that included an arcade and bowling alley. While the island had several different forms of entertainment, it had definitely needed more family fun, and so, she was excited for her son to see the business. As a longstanding business owner on the island, Angela felt it was only right to come visit the owner with a welcome gift. Running a business was hard, and while she did not know if their businesses could ever hold a partnership, it was in her nature to care about them as people first.

Having spent time putting together a medium size wicker basket filled with various bags of coffee from The Flower Mill, a few bagged baked goods, gift cards, and a handknit galaxy scarf, Angela finally collected her son for them to go down and visit the new business. She had went rather early in their opening, hoping to get there before too many customers arrived. Once there, the demigoddess peered around the business, one hand holding the basket and the other her son's hand. Finding the first person, she finally spoke.

"Is the owner here?"
