Abby had suggested that they go to the cafe for their 'date' and even after agreeing on a time, Felix showed up a half an hour early due to nerves. He looked over as he heard the door open, the same way he had every time it did ever since he'd found a spot to sit, only this time Abby had actually been the one to walk through. She'd actually come.

It had been some time since Felix had last talked to Stephanie, and when he spotted her coming out of one of the stores he decided to head over. "Hey, how's the research been going?" he asked, wondering if she was still trying to find any information on the town and its history that might explain all the stuff that had been happening in it.

"I've never been swimming in a lake" Felix admitted, "it was always just pools back home or the beach. I didn't do much swimming at the beach though" he added "I think I watched Jaws too young and it kind of stuck with me"

"Sorry." Felix apologized, pulling his hand back as they had both reached for the same item on the shelf, hands colliding in the process. "You go ahead"

"is this an annual thing?" Felix asked, he'd never been to a small town festival like this before. Having grown up in major cities there had always been events and things going on during the Halloween season, but nothing that felt like this. This was far less busy and chaotic.

”I feel like I should be apologizing to the chickens when I take their eggs.“ Felix mused as he took one of the baskets from Cassie in order to start collecting from the ones that she owned. “Do you ever feel like that or is that just me?”
