26. Do they ever make it official? If so, who brings it up first?

I am guessing official as in being like a full fledge couple? Because yes! They were obviously dating prior to endgame events but they never explicitly announced it because well.. everyone in their company knew. It happened when they exchanged their promise rings/vows during their week spent together before Ivy left with Davrin to aid Fereldan and Lucanis went back to Treviso to begin his preparations into becoming First Talon :)

Pretty sure between the two Lucanis would be the one who brings it up because to Ivy in their mind they were already something but didn’t really understand the need for like a title or whatever because how they feel can’t be put into a single thing of “Partner” or “Companion”. But they do it for him because as long as Lucanis is satisfied in knowing what they are, Ivy is happy too. In a way, the whole “promise” was Lucanis’s way of a proposal while also seeking reassurance that they were something and not nothing.

28. Does Rook make any plans about the future during the events of the game or do they take a day at a time? Do they involve Lucanis in them?

Nope! Ivy is very much a day by day kind of person. Much of their “planning for the future” was mostly just wishful thinkings and ramblings that while I imagine Lucanis knew not to take seriously, he secretly wanted them to be true. They always brought up “running away” with him, even during post-veilguard events those ramblings felt more serious then silly ideas, but by then he knew better then to think it would ever be true I think. So I guess you can say that Ivy did include him in those plans, even though they were nothing but dreams :)

Hiii! Thanks for the ask!

2. Did you design them with any other characters/OCs from their universe in mind? 

I made Pompeiia kind of on a whim. I thought to myself wouldn’t it be cool if there was a mole on the inside of the Venatori feeding info directly to the Shadow Dragons because she hates her shitty family. And then it spiralled into - what happens in the end game when the venatori fall? What would she do? And the answer was reinvent herself in Antiva! And Illario was there perhaps as well?

And thus we had Pompeiia Agrippina Oranius

3. How did you choose their name?

Her name follows the typical late Roman Republic naming convention of having 3 names. Her first two names are literally just the feminized version of her Father’s first name- Pompii Agrippa, a wealthy Venatori Magister and Altus mage. She absolutely despises her father and thinks her name was his first and final insult to her. That she will always be defined by her relationship to him.

18. What is the biggest similarity between your protagonists?

One that comes to mind first is how after making Fayeth my main Inquisitor is that now all 4 of my protagonist (including the Awakening warden) is now mages. Like my Inquisitor would have been the outlier but now they’re all kinda connected in that way, very silly.

19. What is the biggest difference between your protagonists? 

Since I was thinking about it recently and the fact that everyone is a mage, each ones opinions of blood magic is very different from one another. It’s almost like a scale.

Illyana is a circle mage through and through, she despises it and it mostly stems from how it ruined her friendship with Jowan and tore the circle apart as well as still holding plenty of the beliefs she grew up with while living/growing up in the Circle.

Ivy doesn’t outright despise it but they will actively view its users in a lesser form than before. Sure its a tool but did you truly go through every possible option and this is what you deemed resourceful? They think it’s cowardly and is overall disappointed when they find out anyone close uses it.

Fayeth is very neutral on the topic, she herself would not use it but if she learned a mage was a blood mage she wouldn’t judge them. She sees it as any other school of magic and is more interested as to why mages tend to gravitate to it more so than using it herself.

Meanwhile, there is Emiel who is so far gone with it he very much does not see a problem with it. I mean, it’s saved him so many times guys! Sure he may be bound to several demons and his soul is no longer his but he feels so powerful and everyone around him is safe! What could possibly go wrong.
