Hi guys! I have a very silly problem.

I don't know what to call these books. "Fellsong" is fun and kinda cool as a placeholder, but it doesn't feel right for actual publishing purposes.

I reeeally wish I could keep "Songfell" as a title, but then I would have to delete the fanfic and all Tumblr references and ask Dale to delete the videos at the very least, and screw that.

So! I am soliciting suggestions. The story will remain very similar to its original form, as I came up with all sorts of neat ideas to add in but had to scrap them because my eyes have gotten so bad; this is why it's taken so bloody long, and I don't have a firm ETA.

There are four books here, and then an overarching title. I am not in a position to make demands, so I will say humbly that I am generally in favor of shorter titles, not "A Blank of Blank and Sex" or whatever that's gotten so popular. Disclaimer: If I use or build off your suggestion, I will credit you where applicable, but you do not acquire any rights, including but not limited to legal, financial, or anything except bragging.

Also, I hate generative AI with every fiber of my being and would rather let my preschool nephew pick something than use a machine's regurgitated nonsense.

Hi I am a big fan of songfell I haven't finished reading it yet but after the ch 36 note I was wondering if the book was still being worked on .

Hello hello! I took a long break from writing after finishing Songfell because my eyes have gotten so bad…I just made an appointment to consult with a surgeon later this month. But I’m back at it and I am now halfway through fixing up the new version of book 1.

Fun fact, I started calling it “Fellsong” just to be a smartass but now the name has kind of stuck

Grey eyes peek over the neck of her mare as fingers gently stroke over ivory fur for a moment she says nothing, though various hues of blue and black were blooming over the prince’s jaw and quietly she steps away from her steed to close the distance between them. There is a hint of concern for his injury but it was not an emotion she would make known she was far too irritated in this moment and the heat did not help, lifting a hand she lets her fingers cradle his chin before moving his head to the side better assessing his injury. The sword of the morning and the dragon prince were as close as brothers—even still there sparring sessions could grow competitive. “You are lucky you did not break your jaw.” The tone is soft yet nonchalant as her hand falls back to her side and she returns to the side of her horse. “You should be more cautious.”

Dany’s eyes well in tears - the sight of her brother so weak and feeble makes her heartache in a way she’s never experienced before. He slumps down into a chair with a great sigh, and the sound of it causes her to rush to his side. “Do you need anything?” she asks, voice laced with worry - though still soft. “Food? Water?” The fire is warm. It fills the room with heat, and she no doubts suspects that Rhaegar will fall asleep here. She worries her lip. Rhaegar simply gives her a big smile and gently touches her hand. Suddenly her worries seem very far away, and the stress ebbs from her shoulders.

“I am fine, dear sister,” he says, voice tired and lost. Daenerys sits on her knees next to him and holds his hand.

“Alright,” she softens. “But don’t ever do something like that again.” I can’t lose you too.
