Since some of the art I’ve made featuring nudity has been flagged already, I guess it’s time to once again promote my other social media accounts. I’ll try to take twitter seriously from now on, really use the platform and learn how it works. I’ve never really been into twitter before, but I’m excited to build a new audience and get a new experience!

OK super inspired to start posting some more speedpaints again. I have the whole video capturing thing down already using OBS, but still at a loss when it comes to the editing. Any suggestions? I mean it would be best if it was free but if I can pay a small amount each month for something really good but also easy to use I’m okay with that too. 

ALSO: I’ve been thinking of the idea of voiceovers vs music. What would you guys most like to see? (Hear?) Could a stumbling horrible Swedish accent help you get inspired or should I just stick with music? 

AT LAST: I was thinking about like.. an animated intro? Something really short, a couple of seconds. I don’t know if I would attempt to do one myself or commission someone to do one for me. Any pointers on this one?

do you have any tips for a beginner painter?? ive been trying to capture an aesthetic/style like you do for a while but i cant seem to get it khfj thank you in advance!!!!!!!! <3

My tips are to just observe and absorb the art of others, while not forgetting the importance of referencing real life. When drawing from real life you’re allowing yourself to add your own voice in your artwork, you’ll be able to make art that is uniquely yours while also learning anatomy, shadow and light, depth, colours and everything else. If you’re basing all of your input solely on one artist, you’ll miss all of those important lessons. 

Developing your own style or voice is something that will come with time. When I’m looking back at my old art I can still see a lot of recemblance to my current art style, I was inspired by small details of others but did eventually make it into something of my own.

Why you don't post on YouTube anymore?

I would like to post again, but honestly I’m SO bad att video editing, and the whole process of getting like a high quality screen recorder and editing program scares me! I have no idea where to start, and usually get frustrated when I try to look into it on my own. ))):

I saw your nose tutorial on pinterest and then I had to go through hELL to find who the artist even was and only after that I found your blog but thank god I did because your art is amazing😭💕👌🏻

Ahhh, it sucks that people are so bad when it comes to sourcing artists. So much hard work goes into every piece and then it’s redistrubuted so easily without thought from people who couldn’t care less about who created it. But I’m glad you managed to find me regardless! Thank you so much! <3

First, I would like to say that your art is absolutely stunning and breathtaking. Especially the harmony of the colors you create and your coloring in general. Looking at the pictures just makes me happy somehow... I am sorry if the question is somehow stupid in any way, but how do you choose these colors to match with each other so nicely? Is it just some kind of instinct or do you use palettes? Do you have tips for people that want to learn how to create such atmospherically colored pictures?

Oh gosh, thank you so much for being so incredibly sweet! I’ll try to answer your question as best I can!

I think it’s mostly instinct for me, I don’t use palettes, instead I try to map out the base colours I want in the early stages of sketching, that way I can truly make sure they harmonize together. And I’m no stranger to editing either, I usually tweak the colours during the whole process, enhancing some colours that might get lost in the colouring or adding contrast between complimentary colours. I almost always have to resaturate my pieces, because I tend to go a lot grayer and muddier than intended when I start. I really like those rich, deep colours, something that I haven’t really mastered 100% without editing. 

I think the most important thing is knowing what kind of atmosphere you want to create before you start, even though things might change during the process, and adding colours that will help stabilize your idea. Say you want a dark, cool painting... maybe add some warm tones to balance it and make it more interesting. 

Knowing colour theory is super duper helpful in order to create well balanced, harmonious pieces. I hope this helps! Thank you! <3
