3 Felt Stockings
These 3 felt stockings, made for siblings, all have a different process about them. The first is a nice kit complete with stamped felt (the birds), the next is a copy of a kit (the train) - meaning I already made the kit but used the old paperwork to create this one with no stamped felt, and the 3rd, the mice, was the first time I made my own completely from scratch with my own design.
It’s xmas, or something.
I guess I have to post *some* Christmas, since it’s getting about that time. So, here are two handmade felt stockings from kits. I do these on commission all year if anyone is interested.
Christmas Kitties Stocking
This may be my favorite kit stocking yet! Kit for Kitten of course. The hand making of this stocking was fully supervised by a real life cat. This rare beauty is available in my etsy shop as of today!
I found a picture of this kit a long time ago, and since it was no longer in production, the only one for sale on the internet was over $300, for just the kit. Recently Bucilla has re-released it so I bought it right away. It took a lot of time and detail, but totally worth it and I hope whoever buys it is brought joy by it for the rest of their lives.

The Unassuming Craft
Not everything I make is super creative or original, but darn they can be fun. I love doing felt stocking kits to keep my hands busy without having to make something totally from scratch (Although I actually have made a few of these from scratch with no patters. Although many people find these kids time consuming, infuriating, and complicated, I find them a nice stress reliever. This is one of my favorites I have made:
