He doesn’t see her spirit. He asks about her sometimes, but the spirits always shake their heads. She’s not there, not with them. It’s almost ironic. She’s alive, but farther from his grasp than if she was dead. If she was dead. Zuko would be able to find her, speak to her, touch her.

But she’s not dead. She’s just gone.
