why isnāt all the writing on this blog also on ao3?
I started in 2017 and now theyāre a ... thing. Iāve answered over 2000 holiday prompt asks to date and Iām planning to continue to do them. So hereās how they work!Ā
You can send me a prompt whenever, but I get a LOT of asks and a LOT of prompts, so the chance of me filling it are pretty low, but itās okay for you to randomly send me a prompt if you want to.Ā
HOWEVER
The prompts youāve probably seen, my āask promptsā are holiday prompt fills. I open them until I receive a certain amount (these days that tends to only be for about 2-5 minutes) and then prompts are closed and I answer them throughout the next month or two, usually up until itās time for the next prompts to open.Ā
Once the prompts are open, people send me:Ā āHappy _______ā and a fandom or pairing or they can ask for continuations of past prompts. I only commit to giving three sentence responses, but often theyāre longer.Ā
Unless I donāt know the fandom, I will answer every prompt that comes in during the shortĀ āopenā period. So itās to your benefit to choose a fandom you know Iām at least passingly familiar with.Ā
Prompts open on the first of the month on February (Happy Valentineās Day), April (Happy Birthday), June (Happy Pride), October (Happy Halloween) and December (Happy Holidays). I may do them other times (I sometimes will do one for St. Patrickās Day) but these are the ones you can count on.Ā
I donāt commit to opening them at a specific time, so I just recommend keeping an eye on my blog on the days they open if you want to submit one.Ā
Good luck!Ā
