Furrydelphia 2025 felting class photo! These all turned out so cute, I love how many different directions folks take their designs! Thank you everyone who came to my panel or class this weekend :)
Whenever I can I like to run my felting class at cons, and I’m always delighted to help people have fun with a new craft! Everyone did such a good job at AC this year, and several folks showed up with their own tools and materials to follow along which is always welcome!
Furrydelphia Panels! I may not be in the den, but I will be presenting both my needle felting introduction panel and my hands-on felting class this weekend! Come see me in Panel 1 at 7:30 pm Friday for the general info or at noon on Saturday for the class!
Please remember that the class has a $25 materials fee and is limited to 10 participants! I recommend coming early to secure a spot - I often have more interest than I can accommodate
My first hands-on class was a fantastic success, thank you so much everyone who came out and made things! And for those who couldn’t make it, I hope we cross paths at a future con and you can join in then!
I got the opportunity to teach my hands-on class again at Furrydelphia and everyone did such a great job! It was so much fun, and I really loved how many other folks came with their own materials just to hang out and have some felting time alongside the class. It’s really gratifying to know that folks are coming to my panels and getting inspired, and I love helping folks to try something new.
Thank you so much to everyone who came to any of my events or just said hi at the table!
‘felting class’ 89/100 #haikufeltings felting classwe stop to smellthe roses.I made the purple and white flowers during a felting class by Beate Maxzin of Wolllust, “atelier fuer filzbegeisterte,” Augsburg. I am very pleased with the purple flower in particular! Wunderbar!
Felting and my felt frog
So this class you take unspun wool like this
And turn it into items like this
By shaping it and stabbing it repeatedly with a needle until it holds itself together.
That is the story of how I just found a new hobby and I'm gonna make the Fraggles!
Who wants to name my frog?
