Elyse, give Felicia a lil kiss.
Felicia is slicing potatoes at the kitchen counter, humming, the afternoon sunlight making her hair glow. Elyse wraps her arms around her waist and kisses into the back of Felicia’s head, smelling the gentle florals of her shampoo. “Love you,” she murmurs into Felicia’s soft waves.
Satisfied, Elyse turns to leave, but is stopped by a hand on her arm. She looks over her shoulder to find Felicia staring at her, a glimmer in her eye.
“If you’re going to kiss me, do it properly,” she says, before pulling Elyse into a deeper kiss. Elyse brings one hand up to gently tangle in Felicia’s hair, the other settling on the curve of her hip, as their mouths meet again and again.
They break apart a moment later, breathless, and the kitchen is quiet save the tick of the clock and the song of birds outside the window. Finally, Felicia passes a knife to Elyse, turning back to the cutting board. “At least help me get dinner ready if you’re gonna be such a distraction.” She looks back over her shoulder as she says it, a smile dancing across her face.
Smiling in turn, Elyse can’t help planting another quick kiss on Felicia’s lips before shifting to stand next to her at the counter and beginning to slice some potatoes. They stand shoulder to shoulder, skin brushing as they work, and in that moment there is nowhere else Elyse would rather be.
