Fem!Romano headcanons in both Hetalia and Nyotalia world

-Isn't defensive, dependent, smug, grumpy and insecure as her Male counterpart and is canonically more stonger, but still pretty vulgar only when she's pissed and shows little emotion except seriousness or calmness, like she's known to be very intimidating and cold if she's not in a good mood (which is not that often anyway)

-She's reserved, level-headed, tough, nice, considerate, sharp, observing, reliable (but also doesn't make promises if she knows she can't keep tjem), efficient, tidy, very feminine and known to be very pretty lady. She treats everyone respectfully the same and is a very hard worker out of the Italy siblings.

-Was known to be very tough and strong back in the past both as a child and teenager. She also might have not ended up being Spain's servant as well, and stood on her own with Italy under her wing. Every countries were afraid of her. Although she's not as smiley as Italy, she still is pretty fun to hang out with, like Male!Romano anyway as himaruya canonically said.

-But she's still just as sarcastic and joke really cleverly and quickly without missing a beat smoothly and playfully when someone is trying to challenging her much to her amusement which Prussia who just loves this side of her

-Is always up working at her office so male!Italy begs her to go to sleep anxiously/fem!Italy bickers at her to stop working and stop drinking anymore coffee. She only goes to bed if male!Italy says he had a nightmare and wants to sleep with her (which he sneakily uses that excuse sometimes to get her to sleep) or fem!Italy takes her paper away and drags her to bed until she goes to sleep.

-Gets along with others fine, is surprisingly friends with Turkey despite kicking his ass back then and others who she fended off for Spain and Italy--including Germany for their same hardwork ethics, she thanks Germany for taking care of her younger sibling, though she still is protective of Italy from him because she knows her sibling likes him but she's wary that they might get their heartbroken like what happened with Holy Rome.

-She doesn't hate Italy or hold any grudge as she is aware Italy is not to blame, and comforts them and helps them if they come to her--generally always being there for them no matter what situation she's in--but lets them deal with things on their own, especially telling Male!Italy to toughen up. Often encourages him to be stronger and be brave to experience new things but also lets him cry on her shoulder if he feels scared or he can't do anything.

-Doesn't mind Italy and Spain's brightness and overbearing affections, and lets them do what they want and hangs out with them if she isn't working or napping on a chair, but Spain can't help it bc he adores her so much. She returns the affections like kisses but anything further is rare of her. If Male!Spain and Male!Italy are being silly she pulls their ears and cheek with a warning look, which is enough for them to know to stop.

-She wasn't rebellious as Spain's underling and did work obediently to survive, but like Norway with patience she would push male!Spain away and tell him to stop if he was being all sloppy around her. Fem!Spain isn't as touchy so Romano doesn't mind her, looks up to her as a motherly figure and they do everything together like BFFs, they're just an iconic duo.

-Is BFFs with Belgium too, the Male or female ver. She kind of looks at them like they're her older siblings, and Belgium often drags her to have fun at a festival together which she doesn't mind. Is also good friends with Netherlands, they visit each other when they have time and Romano loves to look at all the tulips he grew, and buys some just to admire them at her home. Ned often used to cuddle her when she was younger so he treats her like Belgium.

-Is super good at gardening, especially growing tomatoes which she learnt from Spain. She's actually pretty much a cottagecore girl, she mostly has vintage stuff at her house that is literally worth so much money (ironically, I'll mention this later) and she loves flowers. Like she has so many in her garden that Italy and others would drop by her place to ask for some, and France and Belgium would just stand by to admire them.

-She even makes food and drinks out of the flowers she grew too from making flower syrup or honey out of violets, lavender, lilac, magnolia, wisteria....etc to put it in her cup of coffee/tea or lemonade, from making dandelion jelly to put on some bread, or making rosewater and elderflower water for her skin. So she's kind of a forager too. Well, she studies in plants in her spare time and she had a shortage of food many times so she would make do with whatever plant was around and became good at it.

-Is also really good cook considering she used to cook for Spain and Austria, Italy loves the food Romano cooks because she used to cook meals for him/her back in the days so even though Italy knows to how to cook him/herself and the north part of Italy is more advanced than in the south, Italy can't help but visit her whenever because it feels like they're at home again and the South part of Italy reminds them of the old times back then.

-Also speaking of which, Romano is like the old version of Italy while North Italy is just the new futuristic version (considering Romano and Spain were behind on everything after ww2) so Romano has more historical stuff to see and feels more like Rome, which is why others like to visit her side of Italy, if that make sense.

-I headcanon she also has a mental problem because she isn't able to feel emotions anymore after becoming aware of her existence as a mortal country and forcing herself to toughen when realizing she had to fend herself and has a younger siblings to look after, which causes her to be confused of her own feelings ironically actions ironically. This often concerns Spain and Italy to see her not the same anymore.

-Not to mention Romano has a hoarding problem, she misses the times back then when Rome was still alive so she hoarded everything she had that reminded her of her childhood, as seen in the strip where Italy and Germany was cleaning Romanos room, everything seemed to be precious things that could be in the museum. But she'd keep it in some storage warehouse to keep her room clean unlike her Male counterparts.

-France who is quite good friends with her is aware of this and can only shake their head sympathetically for her when he's not flirting with her. He always has open arms for her if she ever breaks down or needs someone to talk to.

-Knows how to dance like damn girl, all thanks to Spain. Also knows how to speak Spanish fluently and make Spanish cuisines from her past as working as Spain's servant. Also thanks to fem!Spain, Romano picked up the very stylish and feminine look and often wears twinkly jewelries and purses.

-Constantly bombarded with flirting people when out in public because she's so pretty. Not to mention she's a fashion icon too, often wears her iconic colour of pink shades of coral pink, apricot, peach, fuchsia pink. She smells of a lovely floral sweet perfume that smells similar to a mom's makeup that people around her have picked up and can recognize from anywhere

-Can tolerate and ignore being gossiped on or insulted, but cannot tolerate any bad actions or crime especially on others. She has no self respect to herself and is harsh towards herself which her close ones find it torturing to watch.

-I saw a post that South Italy as a country was kind of dead, so if that was true, she would have known and suddenly tell Italy of how proud she is of her/him and that she/he can inherit her land and that she wants her/him to continue being strong, making Italy promise her to be the same loving siblings she knows. Poor Italy doesn't know why but is so happy and joyful to hear this until he/she hears the news that Romano is no more.

Bonus: 2ptalia

-She is someone who would also get along fine with 2p!Italy while they both share snarkiness and intelligence, although 2p!Romano is similar to her except she's more dead inside and emotionless, and grew up on her own than be raised by Spain. Is rarely seen anywhere because she mostly stays in her house alone unless Italy insistingly drags her out to hang out somewhere for some family time.

-Rome favored Italy more bc he wanted Italy to follow his footsteps, which she internalized the behaviour and spoiled Italy too as she raised him, that she still send him food she made for him at random times. She just let Italy do whatever he wanted and asked for, thinking Italy would be as great as Rome, and that led to Italy becoming narcissistic.

-That also made Italy treasure Romano closely more than anyone else because she's the only family member he has and she was the one who raised her, so she knew him best than everyone else but there are times when Italy uses her for some attention or affection since he acts like someone who doesn't need those things but desires love. Just like 1p!Italy, his safe space is at her house and feels alright again being with her at the end of a long stressful day.

-Romano is still friends with Spain but Spain often chastises her raising Italy, saying that she's spoiling him too much bc he's the type of parent who's tough on their kid. But he still cares for her inside (not like he would ever admit it) and is a second parent figure for Italy. Belgium and Netherlands are still good friends with her too like their 1ps, and work under Spain together.

-She (and Spain together) have trouble understanding electronics and other 'futuristic stuff' since she's a sort of cottagecore girl so Italy does everything for her, and often takes her to cool sleek looking restaurants which kind of overwhelm her. Well, Italy literally does all the things for her and she just follows along his plans like a helper.

-Is always dazzling with jewelry from top to bottom, looks like a real princess from Italy gifting her so many presents since Italy is a super wealthy dude. Lives like a princess too, just lounging around by herself nowadays like she just retired from parenting Italy but can't see anyone because in the 2p world everyone's dangerous and Italy is over protective.

It felt right to draw this.

Having a sister who lives in north Italy right now and being separated in this moment is awful. But we are strong, we fight on to see each other at the end of this long path.
