I received my Very Cool Miss Spetsnaz body, so I took some “clearer” photos of the head sculpt. I don’t own any 1:6 female action figure clothes, so I didn’t take any full body shots of her (there’s probably plenty of them by now elsewhere). I did, however, widen her neck because this neck on the VC female body is incredibly narrow, which is one of my biggest pet-peeves with most dolls of any kind. I only own old female action figures (mostly the ancient, carded HT and Triad Toys ones plus kitbashed parts). So, I assumed most modern 1:6 female action figure necks were wider based on my older than dust ones. I am okay with the body overall, but not happy about the hugeness of the bust, despite VC calling this size “medium.”
I still love this head sculpt to bits, so I might still try to put it on a male Xinyiwawa body, because that was my original intention after all. I might just live with the hair style on a male doll I own... DX Will see.
The last photo is the before I widened the neck, and the after. I would still like it quite a bit wider, but I am scared of ripping the “rubbery” neck. I sincerely wish rubbery plastic parts weren’t a thing, it doesn’t really add that much to the posing ability, in fact gets in the way! And also makes these bodies fragile, in the long run -- these types of soft plastic don’t age well. There are already full silicone bodies out there, so it kind of limits the options, when all you have is partial-rubery bodies, or all silicone bodies. Not like I wish all companies went back to solid plastics, just wish there was at least one company, making full-hard-plastic-parts, bodies again. T__T;;
