Florence Rose - 29 - Kindergarten Teacher
i. she was born to a woman named suzanna, but raised by roberta and philippa rose, alongside three other adopted siblings.
ii. she grew into a rambunctious and out-going girl, getting into all sorts of trouble but never with bad intentions. that ripped jeans and torn shirts aesthetic, but always with a big smile on her face.
iii. she was relatively popular in high school, joining a large number of clubs and extracurriculars as well as the cheerleading squad. to this day doesn't really understand high school popularity, but is grateful her high school experience was a good one.
iv. she attended university in new york city, wanting to get away from home and try her hand at independence. whilst it was a good experience, she came right back home after graduating and has been back in Riverside ever since. iv. she didn't realise that she wanted to be a teacher until she was actually in college, but by the time she got back home she knew what she wanted to do. sadly, finding a job was rough around that time and she spend a good year working odd jobs to make ends meet, before finally landing a job as a kindergarten teacher a good four years ago.
v. like a lot of people, she spent a few long years thinking she couldn't figure out how to do the adulting thing: she had the job, and the apartment, and good friends, but it still felt like she was just ticking boxes and making ends meet rather than actually living. in 2016, she took a few weeks off and travelled, which helped a little, but not a lot.
vi. she'll tell you that relationships aren't the be all, end all of things; yet will also tell you that she felt like her life started making more sense when things between her and her boyfriend danny slowly but surely got more serious. things with her job, her living space and her relationship, as well as everything else she'd started doing since she got back home, finally seemed to be falling properly into place.
vii. danny passed away in august of last year and she feels like she has to figure out life all over again.
