Local band I first saw open for Diet Cig a few years ago. It was a mourning show for me. My grandfather’s funeral was the day before and I’d spent the week consoling family and had not been able to mourn myself. I went to the show alone, so I could mourn my own way, and this band opened. Halfway through their set I looked to my right, really feeling the lyrics, and there was Alex of Diet Cig just chilling next to me with tears in her eyes as well. It was a perfect show. Fun fact: I follow them on IG and both Alex and Noah of Diet Cig still actively keep up with them, and I think that’s beautiful.
