Femme=/=feminine. Femme is an identity that centers around being completely unavailable to men in any way. Don’t use lesbian exclusive terms when you’re not a lesbian.
It isn’t lesbian exclusive, it wasn’t lesbian exclusive to begin with.
To BEGIN with, it was maybe WLW exclusive, this included individuals we would know today as bisexuals, pansexuals, polysexuals, etc etc (not to mention -romantics, for my asexual WLW)
But either it just wasn’t often used by guys in the LGBT+ community or that is a more recent aspect, but it still is not lesbian exclusive.
Its not about “being unavailable” it’s about using parts of femininity that you like for yourself, instead of “conforming” for the comfort of the patriarchy.
That’s a pretty watered down definition, but regardless, femme and butch are not lesbian exclusive. Do some research.
Christ, this reminds me of the people who think “corrective rape” is a lesbian exclusive term.
