Caramelized plantains are amaaazing, but I've never had caramelized bananas. Also: I think pound cake would work, but I'd personally bake it a day before to let it get a bit more firm.

Caramelized bananas are pretty good- I guess what I'm going for is kind of a bananas foster thing, and those are pretty delicious. 

I'm still kind of torn on the pound cake thing. It's that delicate line of getting is firm enough to not fall apart entirely, but not making it too dense. 

I guess that's why it's a good thing this dessert is entirely theoretical. =)
