SURF CURSE/ THE APACHES/ FEMNY
This was my first of many to come “punk” shows. This is more of an indie punk type shit. And upon arrival i thought this show wass gonna be lame. With only about 50 people in the crowd it did not seem like it would be that much of a crowd. Despite the usual fans that fight for barricade and front spots, even though they can not handle it, and complain when they get bothered; the crowd was a good one. With lots of crowd surfing and others making sure no one gets hurt explaining to some how to surf the curse of a crowd.it was one hell of an experience.
Unfortunately I found this band a bit boring. But it does have good music to dance to. But if you do like instrumental music than this is definitely the band for you. I will say that they had a very good sound, they definitely know how to play their instruments.
I first heard of this band while looking for new music on spotify™, and i came across a song called Duck Jesus, which in itself is a very interesting song. Giving This song more than just a few listens, I found them on Soundcloud™ and fell in love with their songs such as “dirt bike dan(ny), and kool aid mix”. https://soundcloud.com/femny/sets/epfemny here is a link to their EP Instant Star.
It was a bummer that their set was short, mainly because they had a lot of technical issues. But aside from that it was a blessing to to hear Duck Jesus live and the other songs they were able to play. Hopefully they have more shows coming up. Which i am sure i will be able to attend to, as they are native to to Arizona.
Wow. That was that an amazing show. As soon as they walked out onto the stage they made everyone feel alive and I was blown away with how well they balanced the sound. Heavy on drums, guitar and lyrics, it was amazing to hear it all well balanced. They let the brave souls jump on stage to crowd surf, joined in on the jumping, all while making sure the fans were safe and okay. Since this was the first show on their tour and a sold out one, it was definitely a good start for what they have ahead of them. I hope to see them again soon. They made me feel alive hearing them and moshing was freaking amazing.
