Heartfelt apologies for the delay - the end of my week got just a LITTLE nutty, there. 🤪 When we last left this topic we had established that what was in the box was a case. And the item in that case was ... (drumroll, please!) ... this particular work of art right here. 😍 This is the Mod Shop NAMM guitar, as we’ve been calling it — designed for this year’s show by our Mod Shop project manager, Matt, and built with care early this year by the fine craftsmen in Fender’s Corona, CA facility. And when I say “designed,” I mean Matt hopped online onto the very same Mod Shop configurator that you can over at Fender.com, and put together this tasty treat of options: Walnut finish, ‘51 Nocaster pickups, locking tuners, and exquisite channel bound neck. ❤️ Disclaimer for particularly astute NAMM-visiting readers: the guitar actually didn’t end up getting displayed at the booth - but that’s a tale for another time when we’re all a little older.
