  It had been one of those moments when the weight of it all was catching up to Saima. Which is probably why they had stopped by the bar in the first place, just to have a bit of a distraction. “I mean.. the holidays had made things especially tiring for me. So at least I made it through that.“

Easy laughter brought a toothy smile to Hel’s pale face as she brought a hand up to the back of her own neck. She was tired and her bones ached but she felt light in his company. Like the woes of a weary worn day were not so heavy anymore.

Saima releases a wistful sigh as they consider Fenrir's words repeatedly in their head. "It really can get like that, can it?" How many times have they allowed themselves some level of hope? how many times have they seen it destroyed before their eyes and the eyes of those that they cared about.

"Suppose it's no surprise that sometimes it's really hard to remain hopeful. After seeing so much, being through so much. Experiencing the demolition of so many hopes. It's a wonder that people bother to try and have a sliver of hope at all now and then. It's so.. damn fleeting by its very nature. "
