also i love fenneko so much im aromanticizing her now especially after season 4. i feel like shes aro spec in a way that romance is more of an interest for her that she usually doesn't feel the need to participate in / doesnt experience a lot herself but is still open to it (like in singles night back in s1 although that could also just be her liking the attention + VR boyfriend) but she LOVES romance as an "outsider looking in" thing something similar to seiji maki from bloom into you. and one of the reasons why she's so invested in helping haida with retsuko is because of that, but also because she loves her friends and likes being included (something tsunoda hinted at at some point in s4)

im glad that s4 pretty much confirms that fenneko doesnt have any romantic feelings towards haida because ive always hated that interpretation that she's just trying to get him and retsuko together because something something Love Triangle reasons. im glad its clear they were never going for that angle and never will. fenneko just wants to help her loser (affectionate) best friend
