It's been a while since I've been on a Dishonored binge, replaying the games and reading old Daud/Corvo fics. I reread Eyes Turned Skyward after all these years and I came across this video, makes me think of Crow!Corvo and his birdy expressions. Sad to see that it never finished, it's one my favorite fics in fandom.

I’ve been wondering for a while now, does anyone know if it’s possible to swap Jack’s model in Tales from the Borderlands with his alive/non-hologram one? If yes, do his expressions/lipsync work with the model? Would love to play the game again with a little spice.

Edit. I’d think it would work if you could recolor his textures. I’m not sure if it’s possible to remove the hologram effects (the little cubes etc.), and if Jack would stay see-through since it would require editing the game files (I think, I’m not that good with stuff like this) Would still be worth it though.

Holy fuck

I just had a sudden realization

WHAT IF Vaas went through with the whole path of the warrior thing like Jason did.

And if the scar he has on his head is the result of Citra trying to murder him. It is on the right side

And it’s a straight line. It definetely a slash wound, and very surely a kukri(or a machete)-like weapon.

Like something like this?

And maybe he reacted in time and got away with a scar. But not with his psyche intact. He had just most likely killed all his closest friends and/or family for Citra and to top that (pun not intented) basically forced to have sex with his own sister. That would fuck anyone up. The vision Jason has when confronting Vaas clearly suggests this:

“The first time I killed was for my sister.”

“Vaas, Vaas... who the FUCK is it going to be?! THEM or ME?!”

"He left me, the tribe, his birthright. Hoyt Volker lured him away with money. Drugs."

Vaas’ birthright, was to become the warrior Citra wanted so badly.

And looking at the way Ubisoft loves giving their characters various facial scars with usually a tragic backstory. So yeah, it seems fitting.

Also, Vaas’ unused Rakyat tattoo (which citraisafuckboy kindly reminded me of)

AND BONUS:

After Vaas got away with it, maybe Citra decided to drug the next candidate (i.e. Jason) to make sure he couldn’t fight back as in; to make sure what happened with Vaas doesn’t happen again.

That, or she already did and it still wasn’t enough to overpower Vaas.

Everyone keeps making Vaas call Jason Snow White pretty much all the time. But did he actually ever call him that?

I was pretty sure at one point that he was the only one who used Jason’s real name. The pirates, privateers and (mostly) Hoyt kept calling him Snow white.

Am I missing something?

People say Vaas is a psychopath; it doesn’t sound quite right.

In my opinion, his demeanor points more to Borderline personality disorder:

Splitting (Thinking is black and white, emotions extremely rollercoaster-like)

Chaos in relationships (Citra)

Markedly disturbed sense of identity

Intense or uncontrollable emotional triggers

Unstable interpersonal relationships and self-esteem

Concerns about abandonment

Self-damaging behavior (His fingers)

Impulsivity

Frequently accompanied by depression, anxiety, anger, substance abuse or rage
