Ok, but what if Dark Crystal TLM AU

I’ve been thinking about this for a little while and I’ve seen: There just isn’t enough Mer-Gelflings, so, I’ve decided to sort of cocenptualize this for a fanfiction or AU based on the Little Mermaid. So, how could it be so? My idea would go towards Mayrin and Kam’Lu, being that they have the true Princess and Rogue feeling with each other, and seeing their story with each other I think I can come up with an AU for them -Vapran are a clan of Mer-Gelflings who live in a great underwater kingdom underneath the waves, Ha’rar is their Capital of polished marble. Due to their isolationism and high-culture down they have come to see other Gelfling clans, those from the surface as beneath them, particularly the Sifa, seeing them as barbaric for their fishing culture. -Mayrin is the daughter of the Queen of the Sea, Seladon I, who is extremely prejudiced against Sifa, her daughter on the other hand is a highly pragmatic person and seeks to bring the kingdoms together, but her mother won’t hear of anything related. She is also friends with a Skeksis who lives isolated on an island (They aren’t halves of one being here but separate being) who tells her all about the surface world. -Kam’Lu is not a prince, he is actually the Captain of his ship, like he always has, he is more or less connected to nobility though and is well-liked by the Maudra of the Sifa clan. He is rescued by Mayrin after an accident with exporting explosives and becomes obsessed with finding her, believing he owes himself to her for such an act. -Fenth is not a Sifa but rather, he is a former adivsor of the Maudra of the Vapra and seeks the throne, seeing Mayrin’s sudden crave for unity between the clans and her love for Kam’Lu, he offers to turn her into a land Gelfling for a limited time in exchange for her voice, she can pass as a blonde Sifa (Like Tae), the bet is made that she needs to have Kam’Lu fall in love with her in a week else she becomes his servant. -Originally was gonna have skekSa as the Witch but really, Fenth has that feel. This is what I have thus far: Overall: Mayrin as Ariel Kam’Lu as Eric Seladon I as Triton skekGra as Scuttle. Any ideas, what do you all think?
