gale wanted to press a hand to the plexiglass, but he remembered that it probably wouldn't be a good idea to make such a sudden movement around a newly-rescued feral. he opted for looking at him instead, studying his features.

he had dark bags under his eyes, a straight nose, and long eyelashes that brushed against his cheekbones whenever he would blink. his eyes, despite being achingly vacant, were a beautiful shade of blue, with dilated pupils and specks of green. he had facial hair, a mustache and patches around his chin that didn't seem to want to grow in fully. there was a scar stretching along the skin of his cheek, as well as along the bridge of his nose. he was sure there were more, but he couldn't see any with the way he was curled up.

[[ Gosh, who’s awake to speak about a quick plot for a Trolls AU? A troll named Arabesque is missing and Poppy and Branch go to find him and a Bergen takes them deep into the forest to search and I want it to be just Poppy and Branch to search, so I’m trying to think of a good reason for the Bergen to not have to be there as well. All I can think of is “accidently” step on a troll but is that good enough? I could also have the Bergen just wish them good luck and leave on their own? ]]

Poppy just finished her transformation as Branch holds her closely from the pain and Stone stares in shock by the love they have for each other. Nuka: Well, well. - She claps with a grin - What a turn of events! New member of the clan. You all know what that means! We must hurry back and hold another feast for the-! Stone: No! Nuka: No? Stone: You have to let them leave. Nuka: You know family doesn’t leave family. They’re coming back with us. Stone: They don’t want to and I’m not going to let you force them to come back. They already have a family and friends where they live. Nuka: And look what happened when Branch return to them! He came right back like I said he would. No one else will accept us except for family. Stone: Branch only came back to find a cure when he accidently scratched the little one! Not because he wanted to be with us! Nuka: Are you serious? There is no cure! Stone: That’s what I told him because I’ve been looking for one and now his wife is suffering the same fate as me. Please, have some decency. Don’t let them suffer as I have and release them. Nuka: I will not release them for the same reason I have never let you leave. Stone: That is not why you have such a tight leash on me! Nuka: I do not have a leash on you! I’ve said it over and over again, you won’t survive out there and we are a family! We stay together! Stone: They belong back with their people! Nuka: Their place is with us, just like you! Family - Stone: Stop using that excuse! I get why you won’t let me leave but at least let them! Nuka: We have been over this! They’re not going anywhere just like you never will! We stay- Stone: Enough already! That’s not it! When are you going to admit the real reason you won’t let me go is because you’re in love with me?! Nuka: ?! ... You do not speak to me like that. Stone: It’s the truth. Now release them. Nuka: No. We’re going home. Stone: We might but they’re not coming with us. Nuka: Stone. Stone: I am not letting you do this to another troll. Nuka: What are you talking about? Stone: You take people away from their real homes and force them to be with us. No. Not again. I don’t want anyone ending up like me. Nuka: There’s nothing wrong with you! We’re through here.

Silence falls as Nuka and the other clan members follow her until...

Stone: I will not let You make the same mistakes again I will not let myself Watch their hearts feel so much misery I will not break The way you did, you fell so hard I've learned the hard way To never let it get that far.

Because of you I never stray too far from the pathway Because of you I learned to play on the safe side so I don't get hurt Because of you I find it hard to trust not only me, but every troll around me Because of you I am afraid

I run away But it's not too long before you find me out I cannot cry Because I know that's weakness in your eyes I'm forced to fake A smile, a laugh everyday of my life My heart can't possibly break When it wasn't even whole to start with

Nuka: Stop singing! Your pain is not my fault. If it wasn’t for us, you’d be long dead by now. Stone: - He stares at her sternly - Nuka; We took you in and treated you so well.

Stone: You watched me die I heard you cry every night in your sleep Nuka: What?! Stone: We were so young I should have known Better than to lean on you Nuka: Enough! Stone: You never thought of anyone else Nuka: Be quiet! Stone: You just saw your pain Nuka: Stop it! Stone: And now I cry in the middle of the night For the same damn thing!

Nuka: Silence! - She attacks and scratches Stone across the cheek. His blood splatters near Branch - - Other trolls gasp and take a step back from her - Stone: - He slowly faces her with a glare, not bothering to touch the cut on his face -  Because of you Nuka: No... Stone: I never stray too far from the pathway Nuka: Please stop... Stone: Because of you I learned to play on the safe side so I don't get hurt Nuka: - She runs at him again but he grabs her wrists and forces her to stay when she tries to get away - Stone: Because of you! I try my hardest just to forget everything - he tosses her to the ground - Because of you I don't know how to let anyone else in Nuka: - she turns away to cover her ears - Stone: Because of you I'm ashamed of my life Because it's empty Because of you I am afraid

Nuka: - Not facing him, she kneels on the ground, keeping her head down while shivering -

Stone: Because of you Because of you

Nuka: - She doesn’t get up from her spot - Stone: - He goes to Branch and Poppy and looks at Nuka - We’re leaving.
