Finally, I'm getting around to make a post to share this incredible experience.

In the summer, my trip out west wasn't just a sightseeing adventure... Jenn and I had the most incredible opportunity to bring our birds to work on Heartland. That episode is out now, so check it out on CBC Gem! Episode 7 - World On a String.

The cast and crew, and everyone we met while on set and out west were just amazing, so kind, helpful, and welcoming. It was a whirlwind adventure, three weeks on the road in a van full of hawks and an owl, camping down random logging roads and salt lakes along the way, it'll be a memory that lasts a lifetime.

As my good friend pointed out, my younger self would be in absolute awe of how life took me here. She would never have imagined I'd pick up a passion for working with birds of prey, let alone have my own hawk, and work on the set of a show she watched religiously every Sunday, and would rewatch through those University grind times when you just needed a familiar show.

I will be forever grateful for this experience and everyone we met and worked with along the way! And I'm excited to share some more photos and stories as I get to posting them. Photos by: Laurel Gordon
