Hello Everyone!
Hello, lovelies!
I’m Emmy, and I’m here, playing our favorite plant-loving mentor, Kim Jihun, better known as Kimchi. (I also am the mun behind @minjixhr, yes. I’m that mun) If you want to plot with me for either of my children, please feel free to send me a message on either of them and we’ll figure something out! Now, onto Kimchi.
Kimchi is, while at the Academy in his day-to-day, a bit absent minded, and a lot forgetful. Mildly clumsy, and a bit of a homebody. his plants are his precious children. More than likely, you’ll find him in his room with his.. “large” collection of potted plants and planters (ie, his room, is a forest.), wandering the greenhouse (usually absently talking to the plants), or doing research in the library. His quirk is dependent on him being knowledgeable about all types of plantlife, and he’s constantly looking for new types and ways to better fight villains, knowing that straight-on fights aren’t always the answer.
That being said! He’s very much in his element when he goes out on missions, and does actual crime-fighting. He becomes, as some have said, a completely different person, which, to a point, he sees as the point. When he takes on the persona of The Gardener He is, a hero. He stands in the line of fire between those who do evil and those acted upon. He values his job because he doesn’t want to see more people get hurt (this stems from something that happened when he was younger, however that’s a story for another time).
As far as his quirk goes, some details to follow:
- His quirk is a Emitter-type quirk, and is classified as Phytokenisis.
~This means that he has the power of plant-manipulation.
-The manipulation usually deals with plant growth, rather than “plant-bending” as he feels that bending the plants to his will is mean. However, he finds that in this, the plants tend to listen to his suggestions quite well. (he doesn’t know if it’s because the plants like him so much, or because they don’t really have a will of their own, but he’s not going to push it.)
-He can force the plants to grow, and to pollenate and germinate, causing increased colony growth (ie the plants multiply) although, he prefers to do the germination in a natural style, with wind or bugs. This creates a more hardy plant in the long-run, likely to live longer.
-He’s also capable of using plants for healing, but only the various plants that naturally have healing elements to them.
-His weaknesses deal with what happens when he releases plants from his control. Often, when he’s forced plants to grow, they continue to grow, even after his contact, and if not stopped, they can overwhelm entire areas with their size and density of cover. This means that Kimchi must forcefully stop these plants, which usually causes plant-death, and is extremely uncomfortable for him, physically and mentally.
~plants that he has manipulated into physical motion, often can continue their actions, usually causing damage to property/people and once again, Kimchi has to forcefully stop plants, causing plant-death.
~He also, when growing plants from seed can cause him to deplete his ‘life-force’ which can eventually lead to death. He also must be careful of this when manipulating large plants, like trees, or large quantities of plants at the same time. The only way his life-force can be repleated is by exposure to UV light, or an extended period of wait time.
If you have other questions, or want to plot please feel free to send me a note! :D many thanks and sorry for rambling.
<3 Emmy
