cave club was such an cool little brand. "neon colored cave girls" is a really unique concept for a fashion doll line, and i think they did a nice job with it.

they have really nicely sculpted accessories that would really benefit from some paint; they remind me of late g1 monster high in that way. one day i'll sit down and give their accessories the attention they deserve. i've been percolating some ideas...

It’s been an age since I unboxed a doll! Unfortunately, I havent been buying many at all since the pandemic. But I was lucky to spot a rack of Cave Club dolls on sale at my local grocery store today!

Fernessa is incredibly cute, and I want to shout out Mattel for making this one of the easier dolls to unbox in my life. I love the exaggerated proportions of these dolls, and I 100% will be repainting her. I’m hoping to keep her original hair, but it’s surprisingly.... bad. It’s crunchy and knotted to heck out of the box. This feels like a line mattel approved because it was budget friendly (no shoes!). Her face sculpt is super adorable though, and I might even customize her pet pterodactyl. The real highlight for me was this little potted plant that sprouts!! As a kid, I definitely would have thought that was the COOLEST thing, lol.

Forgot to take a pic when it was lighter but here is my Fernessa with her new brows!  I couldn’t to the tiny lines so I cheated and just did a single layer of paint so the original lines could show through. I can’t get over how cute she looks:)
