The kindness of friends and strangers has gotten me this far with a meal a day, and I'm sincerely grateful. However, I'm still not going to be able to eat again for about a week.
If you're someone who can and wants to help someone who's dealing with chronic illness buy food, my Kofi is here.
Everything genuinely helps. I need to eat with most of my medications, they tend to not work so well without. And them working keeps me able to work.
So I'm so incredibly grateful to everyone that shares and helps me out :')
Welcome back to 'Ferns and it's health being disruptive and bothersome'.
I knew this month was going to suck because last month I'd been casually crawling around for a week in June because my spine quit. By...not paying some big bills I've been able to eat so far which is...a way to do things.
And now a string of panic attacks has all of my medications shuffled so I can safely take anti-anxiety meds. A step forward for sure, but it'll suck for a bit.
Anyway, I continue in the 'the end of the month sucks for groceries' train of being. Probably for a total of 5-7 days.
So if you find yourself able and wanting to help someone with groceries while they're dealing with...everything, my Kofi is here.
As usual I'm incredibly grateful and I'm really hoping the anti-anxiety stuff sorts out something that's been a real pest :')
I'm at the end of my second month of significantly recuded wages due to chronic illness. I was expecting government assistance today but despite having been given the dates by them, it seems to have fallen through. Again.
I've been lucky enough to cover majority of my large bills but food and necessities have been low to nothing, and sporadic based on random generosity and the kind people at the local food bank.
If you're in a position where you'd like to help someone out for a few days, my Kofi is the best place.
I usually need about £50.00 a week to survive on but am currently £25.00 into an unarranged overdraft so...honestly, anything helps.
Last time Imma make a post like this for a while I hope...
Sorry for the repitition.
Basically I'm right at the end of my work month, I've been relying on the kindness of friends and strangers for the past two weeks to eat. I've been pretty successful at having at minimum something to eat every day. Annoyingly one of my bills ended up needing to be covered by food money but that's my internet connection so...I'm very fortunate.
Unfortunately though I've got two days before I'm able to stock my cupboards and fridge again. Which to be fair isn't a long time, I'll be absolutely fine. I've just been sick for a couple months and I'm dreading two work days without food.
So if you're someone in a position where you'd like to and can help a person afford two days of food, I'd hugely appreciate it if you'd take a look at my Kofi...
Here.
And thank you to the extremely kind people who've helped me, and helped my ask reach anyone who wanted to. I'm overwhelmingly grateful.
GW2 is a game with a really awesome community, honestly. There's just one...stupid thing I keep seeing though which makes me want to bite the randoms in map chat.
I'm gunna rant because some people's 'game ettiquette' (?) sucks :D
If you're doing a meta or event that event so much as looks like it might fail, some asshole is gunna announce to everyone some form of "GG fail".
It only comes to mind because I was just doing a Dragon's End that failed on 1% where someone decided to tell the whole map of 50+ people (with 4-5mins remaining) that they might as well leave because it was over already. And as soon as they do that people leave squad, ditch the map etc.
It's gotta be pretty much sabotage to tell that many people that 'it's over' before anyone could actually tell if it is or not. It's definitely shitty game manners for sure.
And I know it can make a whole ass difference when the map and Comm are really supportive and motivate well because of the tiny ass squad I did Drekkar with the other day.
Which started off with one asshat saying it was going to fail and the Comm telling them that they could leave if they wanted but to do it now so someone else could take their loot. And then we won.
Either way, if you think an event is gunna maybe fail, shut your mouth and leave quietly. Forfeit your loot so we can finish it in style without your negative ass.
Having had a good few days out of work during May/early June because I quite literally couldn't stand, I'm looking at potentially not being able to eat for the last two-ish weeks of this month and then...probably a way worse time next month.
In two weeks I will usually spend £100-£150 on food and essentials. Big bills are mostly covered aside from maybe broadband which is £30.
I am...stuck appealing shitty decisions by government finance people because I'm 'not disabled enough' to receive any help despite foot/leg/hip deformities, immune disorders etc etc.
So, if you can and want to help out a person dealing with money based issues, my Kofi is here.
Any and all help is vastly appreciated, and helps me immensely in ways I can only thank you for.
All the 'official' sources I reached out to for food and financial assistance/moving the date of financial assistance have declined to help at this point.
I've got some foodies for tonight but after that I'll be a bit hungry until the end of the month. Which I'll survive, to be fair.
Although, if you're wanting to help a person out who's been too sick recently to earn enough to eat properly...
My Kofi
Only if you can. Only if you want to. I'm lucky to have water, a roof, and electricity. I'm safe. It's just food. But if you feel like it, it would be sincerely appreciated.
You know what, as much as I do not like asking I have no expectations.
Once again poor health has left me in a month where rationing any food I have left would put me at less than one meal a day until...probably near to the end of the month.
I'm again in the process of trying to better my situation through official means which, as annoying as it is that my health is getting much worse, does mean I'm more likely to be eligible for health related help.
Until then, throwing it out there to anyone who wants to and can help out someone with funds for groceries via my Kofi page here.
If you can't or don't want to, no pressure, no problem. I have a roof over my head, clean water, and electricity.
