Innocenti was an Italian car maker whose main production centred on BMC products (Mini/ADO16, 1100/1300) built under licence. They entered into an agreement with Ferrari to make a compact GT car using a BMC gearbox and a Ferrari-made 1.8-litre Dino V6. The design was by Giorgetto Giugiaro working for Bertone. Two prototypes were prepared but the Italian recession of 1963/64 and Innocenti’s under-developed dealer network meant the Innocenti 186 GT went no further
