———THERE’S A KNOT in her stomach, and it’s not entirely due to the fact she couldn’t get a hold of navid. it makes her head spin, and she’d never really felt this much stress before. maybe she should have just gone to sleep like she wanted to, or at least, like she tried to. marleny closed her eyes for all of thirty minutes before she was awake again, and stressing out. she tried to fill her mind with something else – she watched mindless late night television, attempted to defeat the level of candy crush that was giving her a hard time, and she even paced the length of the apartment in an attempt to keep herself busy. that’s when she found herself in the kitchen, deep into a pint of ice cream that wasn’t doing anything more than making her cold. she brushes her tongue against her lips, sliding her hands down into the back pockets of her jeans. one thing she wasn’t going to do was cry, even if she sat long enough to think about it. she refused to. her shoulders rose and fell again, biting on her lower lip as she though for a minute. her head shakes in response to his question. “no, i haven’t. i kind of don’t want to – it could have gone either way, and at this moment i don’t think it went in the direction i wanted it to.”
