Deadline for fic concepts and details to be submitted by writers: 18th February

Fic concepts sent to artists: 24th February

Artists claim: 27th February

Artist Timeline Update!

Now that writer sign-ups have closed and we are taking a second look at our timeline, we realized that we didn’t allow enough time for matching writers and artists in our initial fest schedule. (Remember, it’s your mods first time hosting a Big Bang! Take pity on us!) Below is our updated artist timeline – all the same except that sign-ups will be happening two weeks earlier, allowing us a few days to match up writers and artists, and giving artists an extra week to create their pieces!

Artist timeline (updated!):

7 April - 21 April: artist sign-ups

28 April: artist and writer matches will be sent out by this date

15 May: 50% check-in

7 June: deadline for submitting art

21 June: posting begins

We also wanted to clarify a little how the artist sign-up process will go. Before artist sign-ups open, we will post a list on tumblr of the ships that people are writing about. During sign-ups, artists will be able to list the top three ships they would most like to create art for, as well as any ships that are a hard no for them. We will do our best to match up artists with writers based on these sign-ups, although we cannot make any guarantees (except that you will not be assigned to create art for any ships/topics that are hard nos).
