But no matter how prepared you are, sometimes things just don’t go to plan.

Help, I’m lost!
We’ve all been here before. Just remember: don’t panic!
The best thing to do is head to one of the Charge and Candy Mobile Charging stations. You’ll find one in the white, yellow and green camping areas. There’s also one in the main area next to the BBC Introducing stage.
Tip for next time: invest in a portable charger. Also, agree a meeting spot with your friends in advance, in case someone gets lost.
Emergencies – and unexpected births!
Giving birth the day before Reading Festival properly kicks off isn’t ideal. But hey, at least this newborn baby will start off life experiencing some amazing music acts!
If you have an emergency, there are first-aid tents in the main area next to the BBC Introducing stage and in the white and yellow camping areas. The guys there will be more than happy to help – and may even deliver a baby if need be!

Get yourself some earplugs for the next time you go to a festival. You’ll appreciate being able to shut out all the noise every now and again.
If you’re the sort of person who struggles without a good night’s sleep, then consider staying in a quieter place, such as the white camping area at this year’s festival.

Leaving your comfy bed behind for a big field is one of the worst things about going to a festival.
Make your camping experience more comfortable by bringing some empty pillowcases and stuffing them with your clothes. Having loads of pillows will always make your tent feel like a home away from home.

Dry shampoo is a festival lifesaver! But what if you run out or forget to even bring any?
Surprisingly, a great alternative to dry shampoo is baby powder! It works just as well, and keeps your hair looking clean and fresh.
