End of the year celebrations are with us, and it means party time!

Once upon a time, I picked Emperor Rudolph as the franchise worst dad, but since that era, I reflected a bit and... other games have been released!

Thus, I decided it's time to host the 2025 edition of :

🌟Fire Emblem's Worst Parent 🌟 !

But first of all, we must agree on who is going to compete in this mixed contest, before voting !

So far, I only registered :

Rudy - he will do his best to keep his crown !

Jedah - he might be blue, but he will do his best to challenge and eventually topple Rudy!

Sothis - she has a title to defend before her new appearance in Fodlan 3!

Desmond - but no baby foxes will be injured in this contest

Sonia - no alts in FEH doesn't mean she can't win here!

Sombron - he might be purple, he will try his best to win the prize!

So to anyone seeing this - and wanting to participate and play - send names in the comments or in the reblogs (or via anon asks!) to make this party a festive one with the maximum limit of 12 contenders for the trophy!

Can Brendan Reed count?

He let sonia manipulate his entire organisation and even kill his sons because he was obsessed with her boobs

On the one hand, Brendan doesn't know Sonia and her associate had a hand in the death of his first son...

On the other hand, he sees and knows something is wrong with Sonia and sent poor Uncle Jan to investigate and tail Sonia...

And it ends as we know.

So I guess he could make the cut, as someone who stands by witnessing Sonia's callous "love" for her daughter, and having doubts about her role in his organisation and how she's calling the shots, but still being too obsessed by her legs to send someone competent to tail and find out everything there's to find out about her.

I would like to nominate Validar not just for the raising your child to be a gods vessel in a cult thing which is all methods of messed up but lets be real he's probably the reason Grema exists. Probably is a raging sexist and since the vessel was born female now needs to teach her how to be sexy because that's the only way women can have power or some shit, he's probably responsible for Aversa's outfit too, punt him into the sun

TBF, Validar isn't responsible for Plegia amping up the sex appeal of, uh, wearing tights and showing a lot of skin even if you live in a desert, considering what is the dark mage's traditional outfit.

In a more doylist sense, it's just FE having the usual orientalist mindset lol, and the less we talk about Grimass, the better we are.

wow i never noticed but there aren't a lot of trash mothers in the series, but maybe eremiya can count even if she's not really a mother in the biological sense?

Bioparents or adopted parents, everyone can be a trash parent regardless of blood ties!

So Eremiya should count, if only she wasn't hit by the "surprise gharnef brainwash" that somehow explains how her mind had been twisted, and her trash parental abilities aren't hers, but a side effect of Gharnef's brainwashing!

I agree though, we don't have a lot of moms in the series, let them be crap parents or decent ones!
