"The summoner girl. Interesting to see you again."
Prompt: Map
“Firion!”, it echoed through the Strahl’s hallways, “Were you touching my maps again?!”
Obviously Balthier was in quite a foul mood today. It had started the morning already. Probably it was the strange winds that blew through the desert this day. And now he hadn’t been able to find the map of their exact location. How was this supposed to take a good end?
The rebel didn’t react. Just where was he? Probably outside exploring the area. He grunted angrily. Had the other taken the map with him? …Probably Firion hadn’t even known which one was the right map. And there was no fuzz in the order of his maps. Not at all.
The sound of a door opening. A few seconds later the other male already was in his sight. “Where, for Faram’s sake, were you??”, he asked quite angered, having the other retreat a step or two.
“O-only walking the area around the airship.” The answer came a bit reluctant.
“Where’s my map!”, the pirate demanded.
“…Haven’t you left it in the kitchen yesterday?”
That surprised him. Had he been in the kitchen with the map yesterday? Right now he could not remember such a thing. “… I will go and look there.” With that, he went off to the kitchen to find his map still located on the table.
Celebrations
It hadn't taken them long to get out of the altarroom and over to the banquet hall where the festives were held.
The most beautiful thing, apart from holding his husband's hand, was to see his friends here. It had been too long since he last had seen every one. And now everyone was here. Quite a sight to see... And that just because he had finally agreed with himself in settling down.
Prompt: Star
What a night. He had woken up for the third time already. Rubbing over his forehead the pirate turned to look around once more. Firion was sound asleep next to him. At least one of them seemed to be able to sleep properly. A short sigh escaped his throat, then he climbed his way over Firion out of the bed. A few steps of walking would do their goods…
It was a clear night. The brightly lit sky seemed so calm. Almost as if nothing could destroy this peace. A sight Balthier always valued. The twinkling stars on the night sky… probably they had woken his interest in flying. To be like them, floating, being out of reach, but still visible for everyone.
He had made himself comfortable on a chair at the window of the living room, head resting on the sill.
“What a foolish dream I had there..”, he sighed silently, merely talking to himself, “Children are so innocent.” Still it dragged a soft smile on his lips as he remembered the merrier times of his life. A time when he had still been home, together with his brothers and parents. Usually he wasted barely a thought on the past, but nights like this one always made him remember how he had climbed up on his window sill as a child just to have a nice few on a few stars and dream about the most unrealistic things he could imagine. Yes… sometimes he even missed this time and wanted to go back. But for what? Reliving through everything? Loosing his brothers for another time and watching their mother die? No…
He sighed deeply.
There was no price that could be payed to him to make him go back and live through all this a second time. His whole family was dead by now. And he didn’t want to watch it again. But at least there still was Firion. The young rebel, who still was sleeping in their bedroom, who had kind of adopted him into his own family. He laughed a little at the thought. Hadn’t they already their own family? Afterall there was Mustadio they both had to raise properly. Somehow the dog probably resembled their kid.
A swift chuckle left his throat at the imagination. Yes… they probably were a family by now. And it had taken a few stars on a night’s sky to make him realize that he had a home again. Sometimes… He was really a slow poke at times.
9 and 16
9: What's the most important part of a relationship?
"It'd have ta be trust, n' communication. If ya can't talk out yer feelings n' trust each other to 'ave the others back, then what's the point yeah?
16: Do you believe in "love at first sight"?
"Haha! Not so much love, but when I first saw sunshine I knew I wanted somethin' ta do with er. Those feelin's eventually grew inta love, but it didn't start out that way."
@feymarch-summoner-rydia
Noctis tilted his head at the new visitor. She had strange clothes, that's for sure. From his throne, he looked at her with a somewhat curious expression.
"You stand in front of Prince Noctis Lucis Caelum. What may I help you with, Ma'am?"
