The star & The World as well as reversed for Evan'drien and feyralan!
Ooo these are good thank you!! These are all a terribly written mess lmao I am not eloquent when all flu’d up pff. Putting ‘em under a cut for length!
Evan’drien
The Star - When has your character been mosthopeful?
When he and Fey were accepted into the Blood Knight order. It was the first time either of them ever felt like they belonged, like they were doing something truly important.
Since his death, Evan hasn’t really had cause to be hopeful, but he’ll be reuniting with his brother soon, he has found a good friend in Avie, and he’ll be meeting a certain fiesty young warrior soon, all of which will probably lead to the most hopeful time in his life. So watch this space!
The Star in Reverse - When has your character lostfaith?
At the end of a long and abusive relationship with a young woman called Alyssa, Evan was at his lowest. It was like he was seeing himself for the first time after the haze of her influence was lifted and what he saw broke him. He saw a monster. A beast. Something not deserving of even the cursed life of undeath. Though part of him wanted to just put himself to the fire and be done with it, he chose instead to change utterly. He devoted himself to serving and protecting as a soldier of the Horde.
The World - When has one of your character’s dreamscome true?
In life Evan was a bastard child hated by his step-father and mother, and shunned by his peers for his common blood. Both he and Fey had dreams of escaping, making a name for themselves, achieving glory on the battlefield and finally being accepted. Of finally finding somewhere they could call home, where they could belong with people who loved them. This never really came true, though their acceptance into the Blood Knight order was a step in the right direction. Though of course he can’t remember that now.
Since his resurrection as a Death Knight, Evan hasn’t dreamed of anything, so there’s nothing really to come true.
The World in Reverse - What is your characterholding back?
Everything. Evan despises what he is, his nature as a Death Knight and the terrible, inescapable Hunger they all must live with. He hates it, but like any DK he derives great pleasure from inflicting harm, and from killing. In his everyday life, and on the battlefield, it’s a constant test of willpower not to simply give in to his nature and indulge his ingrained bloodlust.
Feyralan
The Star
Like Evan, when he was accepted into the Blood Knight order was definitely a time of hopefulness! Probably his most hopeful to date until very recently.
See, he joined the Sunguard not too long ago, and noticed the name ‘Evan’drien Duskreaver’ on the rosters. He couldn’t help but get his hopes up that it might be his long dead brother, who he has never really given up hope that he’s alive somewhere. Though Fey’s (and his brother’s) surname is ‘Dawnreaver’ the similarity was enough to get his hopes up and he decided to contact this Evan’drien in a letter. How it’ll turn out? We’ll have to see.
The Star in Reverse
During the assault on the Sunwell Plateu, Feyralan was separated from his main battalion and then ambushed. He would have been overwhelmed and killed, but he heard his brother’s voice yelling at him to run, and before he could register what was happening, Evan had charged in to his rescue. Though he managed to take down the assailants, Evan’s wounds were grievous indeed and Fey couldn’t do anything for him so far out in the field. Evan insisted he just go, and leave him there or Fey would just be a sitting duck, so he picked up his brother’s polearm and left.
He was never quite the same again. For over three years, the Light left him entirely. He blamed himself for what happened, and without his brother - his identical twin, and best friend - he just lost all hope of ever being happy again.
The World
Obviously, exactly like Evan, Fey was a bastard child hated by his step-father and mother, and shunned by his peers for his common blood. Both of them had dreams of escaping, making a name for themselves, achieving glory on the battlefield and finally being accepted. Of finally finding somewhere they could call home, where they could belong with people who loved them. This never really came true, though their acceptance into the Blood Knight order was a step in the right direction.
He dreams of being reunited with his brother, who he’s not given up hope is alive - since he never saw him take his last breath - and well... I’m pretty sure that’ll be coming true soon enough!
The World in Reverse
Fey hides a lot of pain behind his boisterous, exuberant personality. He’s been through hell and back more than a few times, and he really doesn’t ever want to show that to anyone. He just pushes on, doing things, not showing any sign of his true feelings when he’s feeling them. He’s never had anyone but his twin to confide in or care about him, so he doesn’t really know how to open up to anyone aside Evan.
