All right. It's been too long. I need to write Star Wars again. After some consideration, I've decided I'm going to try to focus on only one of my WIP fics at a time, instead of my normal scattered writing. It's been a while since I've really written for Star Wars, so I'm hoping the focus will help. I have a decent number of WIP, but I've narrowed it down to four that I'm going to ask your guys' opinion on what you'd be most excited to see get updated. So... with no further ado...
Which WIP Should I Work On!?!?
R2-D2 Saves the Galaxy (Okay, so Obi-Wan helps a little)
Not a Good Man
The Many Names of Peace
Averting Galactic Destruction

If there's another one you really want to see, let me know in the comments. I will say right now, that while I do want to eventually go back to the Current of Fate series, it's simply too big for me to come back to as my first "determined to finish this" project.
Quick reminders on the stories below the cut!
R2-D2 Saves the Galaxy - When Obi-Wan sends the message to Anakin on Tatooine, R2-D2 decides to take things into his own metaphorical hands. Cue a galactic takeover that Obi-Wan promises is fake. (Eventual Jango Fett/Obi-Wan Kenobi, but it'll be more a background to galactic domination.)
Not a Good Man - Boba didn't mean to befriend Obi-Wan, but it happens anyway. When the ghost of Obi-Wan asks Boba to keep a time travel device away from Vader, Boba can't bring himself to refuse him. The actual traveling back in time was definitely not planned. Boba has two goals. Save his dad, and save Obi-Wan. Saving his dad is easy. Saving Obi-Wan... it'll be easier to save the whole Republic. (Jango Fett/Obi-Wan Kenobi, Boba is playing matchmaker, even if he's terrible at it.)
The Many Names of Peace - Palpatine dies as a sacrifice for peace. After Obi-Wan takes a few months to wander and find himself again, he returns to the temple and his family. Segments of finding peace, saving the clones, building boundaries, healing relationships, and more fluff. (Cody/Obi-Wan/Rex, but Obi-Wan is currently entirely oblivious.)
Averting Galactic Destruction - Obi-Wan ends up back in time by unknown means and immediately goes Kamikaze. Thankfully, Quinlan shows up in time to keep him from doing something too drastic. Together, Quinlan and Obi-Wan (and a few others), are figuring out how to save the galaxy. (No pairings, but hopefully a very enjoyable Quinlan and Obi-Wan dynamic.)
Haha! Thanks! Now I just need to live up to my own plans!
I have at least STARTED the next chapter. Obi-Wan is NOT pleased at being confronted with the historian of all historians: Jocasta Nu. R2-D2 on the other hand, is living for it.
I absolutely love your writing! Please feel free to ignore this, but I had a question about Fate Turned Choice. Once Jango and Obi-Wan met, other True Mandolorians felt the pull of the Be'alor. If Pre and the Death Watch do not recognise Jango as Mand’alor, does that mean that they don't recognise the pull? If Pre is considered the Death Watch faction Mand’alor; would his soul mate have a similar pull to their members? Or would that only happen if Pre legitimately became Mand’alor? Thank you!
That is... complicated. But to give the succinct version. The Manda has been in uproar the past couple decades (some might say centuries), what with the New Mandalorians having so much power, and the civil war.
It got especially bad when Jaster died to Tor, and then worse when Tor died and Jango disappeared, especially when Satine (who doesn't have a soul mark) was in charge of the New Mandalorians. (Now if she had had a soulmate things would have gotten difficult.) Because neither Pre nor Jango had enough power to fully pull the title of Mand'alor to them (it will come out later in the story, but the clone army actually significantly boosted Jango's pull since he treated them far better in this AU and they do see him as Mand'alor).
But even up to Obi-Wan showing up it could still have been a toss up. It's almost an 'I got there first' moment, where Jango found his Be'alor before Pre did. And the Manda pretty much jumped at the opportunity to tie a Be'alor to itself again, which solidified Jango's claim. Even those of DW who were totally vying for Pre to win will know. (Not to say that all of them will accept it, but... well, most of them have wanted a Be'alor for quite a while.)
Also, I'm very tired and I'm not sure if ANY of that made sense outside of my head.
Would you ever... Finish Pebble in a River? I'm sorry, I know it's mean but I love it so much and all your writing is wonderful and I'm weak for JangObi.
Haha. I deserve that. I really do.
Answer: Yes
I’m 16 thousand words into the next chapter of Pebble and have actually just received a huge bout of inspiration and motivation to finish it. So, if all goes well I do hope to get it up within the next week or two.
Would you ever write... a non-gffa Star Wars story? (modern, historical, fantasy, etc.)
Answer: Yes
...Fantasy I think I could do, and maybe modern... But I would have to be really inspired for the plot... but now I’m thinking about it and there are so many options.
I was attempting to re-write one of my fics from years ago, it was titled Make This Chaos Count, but it took a turn instead and became a little original thing?
Uh, so yeah. I'll share it with you guys. I like the idea of mermaids kissing those forced off the plank to turn them into more mermaids lol
Thunder crashed overhead; The ship rocked dangerously side to side from the waves that slammed into the wooden ship threatening to sink it in retaliation for those on the ship stealing what wasn’t theirs. The creature below deck calling for their family and others to help. The creature grows quiet as one of its captors comes down the strange wooden structure, a wooden bucket in its pale fingers. The creature glares through the water at the captor, their thoughts focusing on how they should have killed the man when they had the chance. That they should have grabbed one of them with their claws and jumped over to drag them into the cold embrace of the ocean; reveling in the human struggling as the salt burned their eyes and throat.
The man sets the bucket down near the clear cage, pulling over a smaller version of what they walked down and placing it near the cage. The creature watches, curious as the man grabs the bucket and walks up the contraption. Their eyes jumping to the top of the cage, a small door opening giving all the chance they need. Pushing off the floor of the cage, they swim to the door, grabbing the edge and pulling themselves up. Snapping their teeth at the man before they swing their tail over. The humans were stupid not removing their gear; they weren’t wearing the items for fashion, pulling a shark tooth dagger from their bag, and swiping it at the human. The man stumbling back and falling off the shelved contraption with a grunt before the creature morphs their tail. The scales split, forming legs as the creature grimaces in pain; blood spilling down the side of the cage, into the water and onto the wooden deck.
They stand and carefully move down the contraption after having watched the human. Barring their teeth as they stalk past the human, they move towards the larger area the human came down from. Taking a risk to look up and letting the tension leave their shoulders as they spot the star spotted sky. They take a step and hear the man move. Turning, they hold the dagger, snarling as the human stands, holding their hands out.
“That isn’t the way you want to go. They others, they’ll kill you instantly.” The creature stares, narrowing their eyes at the strange tongue that they’ve rarely used. The human moves towards the side of the ship; pointing to a clear area of the ship. Similar to the cage they placed them in; the creature watching as the man opens and closes it.
“It’s a window, no one will notice you leave through here.” The creature moves quickly, too quickly if the humans gasp and jump is any indication. They hold the dagger up, snarling in warning before they pull the ‘window’ open. They look the opening over, pressing their forearm across the opening and nodding to themselves before looking at the human.
“Go. Someone will come down soon, I didn’t want to keep you here.” The creature gives them a strange look, if they understood properly, the man disagreed with the others. It would explain their helping. The creature takes one of their trinkets from their bag, pressing it into the human’s hand before they lift themselves into the window. They hear the human gasp as they gaze at the trinket; the creature is unsure why. It’s just fossilized coral, there’s plenty more where that came from. The creature morphs their legs back, resting against the window as the ship rocks. Water splashing into the ship from the window and knocking the human onto their backside. Steps and shouts sounding from above deck as they realize a window is open; sucking in water as the ship dives from each swell.
“Go!” The creature only partially shifted tips backwards into the churning black water. The human rushing to the window to shut it; peering out to try and see the creature. The creature far below the ship now. Their body aching from morphing twice in such a short time; they allow the ocean’s embrace to sink them as they get used to the ocean water flowing through their gills once more. The creature hopes that the humans are merciful to the one that let them go, they wonder if they should stick close. They know humans like to drown their kin; wrapped in irons and strange fabric ropes. How curious, just moments ago they were ready to drown the humans themselves.
They follow the ship, mainly curious how the humans will react to the creature escaping, and they only have to wait for first light. A splash coming from above them, as the human that helped them sinks into the ocean depths wrapped in irons and the strange rope. The creature moves quick, placing their hands upon the man’s face. The man stilling for a moment before the creature presses their mouth to theirs; breathing water into the man’s mouth as he begins to thrash; his eyes springing open despite the salt. The final few bubbles leave the humans lungs as their eyes dull, the creature pressing their hand to their chest and closing their eyes before pressing their mouths together once more. The man jolting slightly as the creature grins. They begin to use the shark tooth dagger to cut at the ropes holding the large iron bars to their skin, working on the man’s clothes next as their skin starts to split across their ribs; flaring and closing as the man begins to breathe brine for the first time. The creature moves quickly, slicing at the pants as the man’s skin begins to stitch together. The creature moves from them then, the man awake and looking at their skin that has taken on a grey pallor, touching their ribs, and looking at their tail. Their wide shocked eyes move to look at the creature.
“You…”
“You did me a kindness; I have returned it.”
