So... The last couple of chapters of Pebble in a River (and Stone in a Dam for that matter) have been really long. Like, 17k-20k.

How would you guys feel about shorter chapters again (closer to 10k to 12k) but (hopefully) showing up sooner?

If you don't want to answer, please feel free to ignore this ask, but I had a question about Mace in chapter 2 of Pebble in a River. Obi-Wan thinks that Mace is regretting accepting him back into the Order after Melida-Daan, but the other chapters show that Obi-Wan can be an unreliable narrator at times. What was Mace thinking then?

Ah, yes. So Obi-Wan is definitely misinterpreting Mace's thoughts there. Mace is disappointed that Obi-Wan is leaving, he thinks Obi-Wan could be a great Jedi. And he is majorly concerned, because Obi-Wan is pretty much shatter point upon shatter point upon shatter point, which is... yeah, a bit of a headache. And also really terrifying when on a 19 year old who before had a couple of shatter points and now feels like nothing more than shatter points. So he's afraid, he's disappointed—but not in Obi-Wan. He's just feeling the weight of the situation.
