aahh this smells divine!! i can’t even begin to describe it, it’s insanity. definitely worth every single penny (it was a lot of pennies <- not complaining)
base notes from the red cedar are smoky but not firewood smoky, the jasmine and hint of rock rose (not rose, think spicy aroma of saffron) mellows it out nicely into this woodsy smell. it really pulls everything together.
the ambrette, or muskmallow is an aromatic with hints of pear. it’s sweet, almost powdery with boozy notes similar to cognac.
middle notes from the bergamot & company provide a citrusy scent that cuts through the base and top notes, providing a fresh, lemony aroma that makes you want to huff this perfume.
the top notes are petitgrain, crab apple, pear, ginger, pink peppercorn, chamomile and cognac. again, cannot even begin to describe the smell.
does it remind me of autumn? kinda, in a way… it’s doesn’t scream "apple Orchard" to me unfortunately, it’s far too woodsy and the pear sorta fades into the background when it should be the star BUT
i love it. i really, really do.
edit: there’s something so satisfying about receiving bottle n°300. a nice, even steven number makes my odd heart sing 🙂↕️
Hermes Paddock, Crivelli Tubereuse Astrale, Ffern Spring 2024 and Eau D'Italie reviews - 2024

Despite the (extremely off-putting) technical glitches, I broadcast a few more reviews over on YouTube the other day, including one of an entirely unexpected Hermes exclusive called Paddock, composed by Christine Nagel. Other videos focused on Crivelli Tubereuse Astrale (Quentin Bisch), Ffern Spring 2024 (Elodie Durande) and the entire range from Eau D’Italie. Here are links to all the episodes,…
