30 Days of Otherkin - Day 4
Day 4: Your non-otherkin identities I’m a grey american. Grey because I have black and white ancestry. I don’t consider myself black AND white. Genes are like paint, they mix. I am mix. Also huemyn since I’m a earthling as we come in all sorts of hues of the spectrum. Faeide not to be confused with Faeid. It means i’m a faery docor in training. A type of mystic. Similar to a witch or shaman. I’m bi-intimate. I’m a fherine. It means I have a intrinsic feral/bestial nature. Think of a natural Tarzan. I’m a rainbow(warrior) and a darkworker the other side of a lightworker.
30 days of otherkin: Day 3
Day 3 - Identity: How/why you are otherkin How am a otherkin? Well, I believe we live in a multi-plane/dimensional/realm reality. There is also a non-physical/spiritual component of reality. My soul/individualized consciousness is not bound by time and space so I can actively experience, tune into, this multidimensional reality. Since time is a sort of illusion and everything is happening at once what I’m really experiencing are parallel lives in a way. So if I was a fairy, in the fae realm in a “past” or “future” life I can experience it in the ‘now’ in my current reality/ on earth where it colors and influences it. In other words being a human being gives us that special experience of experiencing our multidimensional self. It’s how us humans are built, chakra, third eyes, souls and all. Fherine wise I am this way because of my soul experience, my soul data. Apparently my soul experience had affinities for the animal kingdom/nature and even specific animals along the way. Like I have a sloth affinity so maybe a “past” life as a sloth or I vibe with the archetypal energies of the sloth, they are tied to diplomacy so maybe I was a diplomat in some distant galaxy.
30 Day of Otherkin - Day 2: Identity - History/Development
Day 2: Identity - History/Development Hm wow. I’ve had a long history to getting to the point of my current identity. I think it all started with me first experiencing and becoming aware of power animal guides/totems. It was like, ok, animals can be in our lives in a non-physical/spiritual/meta-physical way. When I noticed I exhibited qualities and behaviors of animals that appeared stronger in my life and searched up about it I came upon the world of therianthropy. After that it was years of exploring, trying to figure out my animals, my types. My identity evolved so many times under so many labels. I think me being a shapeshifter made it way more complicated then it really was. To my surprise I don't identify as a therian but as a fherine. My strongest ‘affinity’ is with an animal with tied to shape shifting (racoon dog) so that explained a lot. Fae wise honestly from what I remember I just felt it a few years ago. A sort of epiphany of “faries are real” and I just became attracted to fae culture. Then I experienced the fae realm which just solidified it all for me.
Fictional Fherine examples: Unshifted beast boy sans green skin.
Fherine
Fherine are humans that have a intrinsic feral nature/disposition.
Some believe in spiritual source of being born a Fherine while others consider it a form neurodivergence with possible overlap.
Fherine contrast with therians in that instead of having a soul of animal(s) or being part animal in someway they have a set, innate animalistic/feral nature. Though it can be hidden and suppressed through various means it is an innate part of the Fherine. While all humans have a baser nature Fherines in a uninhibited state retain a feral/bestial like character or aura at all times. Many fherine have a natural affinity for nature and wildlife. Most learn to develop a more “mundane” human persona to fit into current society and mask their more instinctual responses (barking, hissing, pouncing, etc), attributes, and animal-like personality.
