“a five minute food break,” julian rasied his arms, trying to capture the undivided attention of his friend amongst all the chaos that was around in the park. “and then we can do whatever you want to do.” the night had already been so action-packed, so active, that julian hardly had a chance to eat a real dinner. as much as he wanted to enjoy the hours they had left, the only thing on his mind was how empty his stomach felt. “deal? please?”

“... a haunted hospital where patients were tortured for decades by deranged doctors and nurses,” she finished reading, finally, crumpling up the paper that had been rudely thrust into her hands at the gate and throwing it in the ( general ) direction of the trashcan with an incensed grumble of, “insensitive.” it was an unusual word for damaris to choose - but not SABRINA, to whom the story of malicious staff almost worse than the patients they treated was far too familiar. she possessed ( ha ) no desire to go through a show that was seemingly inspired, quick to turn back and add, “not that. or any of the shows. they all seem so...- boring.” or as the case might have been; on the nose.

the corn maze seemed promising in theory, but the deeper daniel got into the maze with little more than one teammate at his side, the more lost he found himself getting. the sun could be seen dipping below the horizon ahead of them (  the stalks casting leering shadows as they continued to follow the disorienting turns ), but the california air refused to cool. daniel proceeded to make another turn and --- HALT. dead end. the boy turned to face the other, addressing them as he paced backwards and began retracing their steps. “ if it weren’t for leatherface chasing us for five minutes, i guarantee we would have been out of here and chowing down on funnel cakes by now. ”

micah grimaced, stepping closer to ashley as a clown passed by him. it was, in all likeliness, meant to frighten him, but that was one thing he’d never been afraid of. ANNOYED? maybe. but not scared. he moved away from his companion once the stranger had passed, letting out a sigh.       ❛  not gonna lie, as scary as clowns are supposed to be, the fact that they’re everywhere makes them a lot less terrifying. ❜  he glanced over at her, wondering if she was of a similar mindset, or if she was actually afraid of them.

       skipping out of the exit, her hair a mess from the wind having whipped though it, and adrenaline coursing through her veins, verena spun around and began to walk backwards. “ that was so much fun ! i can’t believe i forgot how much i LOVE rollercoasters. ” the little kid that still lived inside her wanted to jump up and down, chanting ‘ again, again, again ’ but with just enough self control, she was able to keep it together. for the most part. vee looped her arm with damaris’ and easily fell into step with her. “ want to ride something else or are you tapping out ? ” // @emotionfvl

“Is it just me or is everyone here acting weird?” Isaiah had KNOWN coming to this dumb ass farm would have repercussions. Elijah had run off somewhere. Daniel seemed to be on a sugar high. Damaris was just acting different. The entire thing honestly gave him an OFF FEELING. He frowned, scratching up his jaw, glancing over at Micah, half expecting the boy to contribute to the weirdness by doing something weird, too. Like start tap dancing or something. “Also i thought this group was a democracy, dude, because i definitely did NOT vote to come to this stupid farm. I thought we’d do something cool, like surfing.”

“I never thought i’d ever hear you scream. Let alone scream so LOUD.” Isaiah half grumbled, still rubbing a hand over his ear. He had no idea why he’d gone through this maze with her, of all people, but he thought he’d act diplomatic about the entire thing, and polite. He regretted it. Spending any time with Kim was excruciatingly painful, but spending time with her in a dark maze, whilst the others rushed off? He’d considered just leaving her in there. It would probably make the group better if anything. But the idea of trying to explain that to Ashley seemed another kind of painful all in itself. “Where’s Ash, anyways? I thought you two were joined at the hip.” He glanced around, as if hoping she’d materialise out of nowhere. No such luck.
